I went into exchange an item that i purchased for a size up .The minute me,my daughters walked in toward the Nike items I felt we were targeted. The employee colleen couldn’t stop watching us as I looked for the item I wanted to exchange. She never offered help when we ask so one of my daughters had to go get help from someone else .She literally stared at us the entire time acting as if she was folding clothes.I ask the young man can I try on ths sweater cause I need to knw which size to order. He had to unlock em which he stands there the entire time on top of Colleen literally watching til I hand it back .Then he locks thm back up ,the employee Colleen finally makes her way over to say to the other employee do you need me to help you make sure there locked up .Ive never felt so targeted in my life .I literally Have my receipt, I was told the item would have to be order, that it will cost me $20 more by the guy employee .I said why can’t it be a even exchange it’s the same thing can you ask your manager. The young man comes back, says no I asked a csm .I replied I’ll like to speak to your manager. The store manager Owen comes out , return, order the sweater for me off line at the same price .Im not to sure how happy he was about it but he did it .Im writing this review because I was treated poorly, target from the door .Im reaching out to corporate with my concerns as well .I Do feel like the employees need to be retrained especially Colleen .She was the worst of them all today especially for my 13yr old to notice her ,say why is she looking at us like that mom. When all kids do is be in there phones ,barely pay attention to anything today .Then you know she was doing way to much .Ill never return to spend my hard earn money in...
Read moreIf zero stars were an option, Marketplace Mall’s Dick’s Sporting Goods would have just earned themselves a shining negative infinity. I called corporate before showing up to verify if I could return a pair of unworn shoes without the box. Corporate said, “No problem!” But when I walked into this sad excuse of a sporting goods store, I was greeted by the manager with all the enthusiasm of a wet sock in a rainstorm.
His excuse? “We can’t do that here, but the Eastview location can.” Oh really? How does that make sense? Is Dick’s secretly franchised by different planets? Does the Marketplace Mall location exist in some alternate universe where basic customer service is forbidden? When I asked for clarification, he stared at me like I’d just asked him to solve quantum physics.
Meanwhile, I called the Eastview location, and not only did they confirm they could handle the return, but they did it with what can only be described as joy and glee—concepts clearly foreign to Marketplace Mall’s manager.
And let’s talk about this guy for a second. He’s the perfect poster child for a store named “Dick’s” because his customer service skills are about as sharp as a beach ball. Keep up that boundless enthusiasm, buddy, and you’ll be “managing” this barren wasteland of a location until the end of time.
Pro tip: If you value your time, energy, or dignity, skip this store and head to Eastview, where they’ve figured out how to both sell AND return shoes....

Super friendly, explained everything to us, helped us out with explaining how the credit card for the store worked, how all of the warranty policies worked for each of the items we purchased. Such a big big help, but most of all, he talked to my friends son about his sporting experience in high school and gave him encouragement to keep going and try everything out, to make sure he finds his place and to believe in himself. It made my heart full honestly. If I need anything else there, I would definitely be going back because of him. Thank you for having such an awesome employee!!! And such a...
