i've ordered from here on multiple occasions and i've never had the horrible experience i see many others on here having, but it also hasn't made me eager to go back. however, as a doordash driver, picking up from this panera is uniquely terrible. while this new store was built with rapid pick-up shelves, the staff no longer place them there, probably due to theft, which makes sense but they keep them at the counter where people are supposed to pick up their in-store dining. the problem is that everyone working back there is there to do another job, namely preparing food, and there isn't anyone to ask whether one of the many orders there piling up on the counter is the one you're waiting for unless you're prepared to be rude and interrupt someone doing their job. but no one will ever acknowledge you, a person, an actual human being, standing there for a reason and not just because they had a spare 15 minutes to kill and felt like staring down some panera workers in the middle of the day on a wednesday. and to add insult to injury, panera's policy for preparing their orders is to mark them as 'ready' before they're actually ready to 'clear their stream' (to quote a panera worker) but the thing about doordash drivers is we aren't paid by the hour, we're paid by the order and we can turn down as many offers up to 100% of offers, so we have calculations to do when we decide to accept. doordash will tell us if an order is ready which makes us more likely to accept an offer knowing we won't have to wait an additional 5 or 10 minutes or more so panera's policy is essentially lying to doordash drivers and almost literally stealing money from their pockets by deceiving them into making them their the order they've been offered is ready when it actually isn't. i encourage you not to order from panera if you are someone who does actually care about doordash drivers and to pick up your food yourself if you do feel the need for some...
Read moreIt is discouraging to watch workers lack of enthusiasm at their jobs these days. Panera needs to work on training their employees better because customers are always watching.
I've been to many Panera locations. Generally upon check out, the person working the register asks, "would you like to add a drink or pastry? Is there anything else I can get for you". That was not the case here. I had to ask about adding extra stuff because the worker was just punching the buttons.
As we waited for our food, we watched a different worker sweep the same section of the floor for over 5 minutes while just pushing around crumbs. There were other tables and sections that needed attention and it was not the most sanitary place.
Our food was decent. I did notice the avocado on my Southwest Chicken Ranch Salad was browning. The Mexican Street Corn Chowder soup was hot and flavorful, but the bread was stale. A bowl of Creamy Tomato Soup my husband was served, was slopping down the outside of the bowl before he picked it up from the counter.
Also kinda discouraging that Panera has limited their options on the teas available in the fountain drink area. This location is definitely in need of TLC in more...
Read moreFirst off the girl taking orders greeted us as if we were personally bothering her. Maybe she was having a bad day,it happens. The real issue came when this dirty hippie looking fella brought me a bread bowl with a side I never ordered. I advised him that was not my order and he should take it back to the right person. He assured me that just the side was wrong and it was no big deal. He then brings over a plate with MY bread bowl and my side. He asked me to remove the sandwich I ordered from the plate, and that he'd give the bread bowl to another customer. Well I'm so sorry to that other customer because my hand definitely grazed the bread bowl that he then delivered to whom ever. We then have to wait another 5 minutes for my husbands order. Which was the completely wrong sandwich. He also never brought us our drinks. At that point we decided to just leave and try again else where. Horrible, horrible experience. Not to mention the major health code violation that occurred when he had me remove a sandwich from a plate he served...
