I wrote a review, not long ago, that was 5 stars and based on the store and the manager Bill and how wonderful the experience was. I even went back and purchased another set and sent it to Florida because I was so pleased. Then the following happened and I am so upset. This did not involve the store, but the higher ups one deals with when there are problems. I purchased a full set of outdoor woven wicker furniture from Melville in April 2022 for over $12,000, expecting high-quality pieces and long-term support based on the store's reputation and the excellent service I initially received. Unfortunately, that experience has not carried through even with the Guardsman Warranty. Despite the furniture being used only seasonally (about 5 months a year) and covered during the off-season, visible damage on most of the12 pieces appeared by the fourth summer-well beyond what could reasonably be considered "normal wear and tear," their description, especially on areas that are typically covered by cushions and not exposed. When I raised my concerns, the response I received was dismissive and unhelpful: I was advised to purchase a touch-up paint pen at a hardware store. For a purchase at this price point, I expected not just quality but accountability. This experience has made it clear that once the sale is complete, customer support is minimal. I was a loyal customer, even purchasing a second set for another home and recommending the store to others, including family. That will no longer be the case. I'm sharing this review so others can make a fully informed decision before investing in what is marketed as premium outdoor furniture. Read moreDisappointing all around. We ordered everything in the store with 2 employees putting in the order themselves. The day of the delivery we were given a 4 hour window. They showed up over an hour past the END of that window. They also had the wrong chair and no base for the umbrella. I had to call and they acted like I was dumb for not ordering the umbrella base. We had 2 of your guys complete the order, including the umbrella- we assumed they'd tell us if an additional part was needed. A week later the correct chair was supposed to arrive and I noticed in the delivery notification that it was the wrong color. My husband called and it was also the wrong chair .... again. A week later we finally got the correct chair. Never were we really offered an apology or anything to make up for the inconvenience and sort of ridiculousness of the whole thing. Not a good...
Read moreI didn’t have a good experience at this location as I spent over 10k there and the salesperson was very misleading and tried to sell me items that I didn’t order. I still got overcharged by a couple of hundred dollars after an hour of going back and forth. He showed me a certain item and then tried to sell me a much cheaper version at the same price. I don’t like people who think they are too smart for the customer to realize what they are doing. Also, he seemed very agitated and angry at the time of sale, to the point that he left half way through the sale and another salesperson had to take over and redo the whole transaction. I would not give this business anymore of my money.
