I had a lot of fun at the carnival hosted by Newton shows in Bridgehampton. Many of the rides such as the Pharoahs fury and the swizzler were exhilarating and fun. All of the staff working the carnival were super friendly and fun. However, I will not give this review 5 stars due to one of the rides, the Hi Roller. this should not even be considered a ride and should no longer be offered at carnivals, at least not without proper warning signs. First of all, you are enclosed in a super tiny dark cage with hardly any air. The ride consists of flipping side by side and upside down for two painfully long minutes. My friend and I had to keep our eyes shut and focus on our breathing in order to not have complete panic attacks in the small cage that you are trapped in. Since you are so enclosed in the cage, you can’t even signal to the worker to stop the ride if needed, and trust me, we really needed it. After the ride, we were so sick and sweaty that we needed to leave the carnival. Yet NO WHERE were there warnings listed about how intense the ride is. Not to mention, carts are constantly crashing into eachother, causing the two people in the cage to crush eachother, making it even harder to breathe than it already was. It feels like a constant car accident for two straight minutes. This ride is really really intense, and keep in mind, I am a 20 year old in good health and my friend is an 18 year old in good health as well, and We honestly feared We would have a heart attack during this ride. We had to talk to eachother the entire time, in order to make sure we stayed calm. This review is not a joke. Please newton entertainment, take this seriously. It is not safe and should really be removed, and if not, then proper warning signs need to be posted to alert carnival goers about how intense this is. PS, we threw up behind violently behind the...
Read moreWorst experience. Took my 8 year old to a recent fair that was hosted by a local church. We went on a Friday night and she had no issues going on any of the kid rides. We go back on the last day and told she was too tall for the rides. When we checked her height she was exactly at the 54” mark which was the cut off for the kid rides. Spoke to the manager who then said they have a right to refuse a kid that is exactly at the height maximum. We wasted 30$ for my kid to only be able to go on 2 rides and worse to be heart broken and told she can’t go on any rides after being allowed the...
