I love love love panera. Their food is always good. Rarely disappointed 💛 that was my review from awhile back.... Today 2/22/24 I went for lunch. I was disappointed. The girl who took our order got both of them wrong. She either didn't understand us which is weird because we both speak clear English or she just don't know what she's doing. My husband asked for red onion and no tomato..she gave him tomato no red onion. I asked for chicken with my bowl and got no chicken. I brought the receipt back to the window explaining the mistakes to the food prep people. They called the cashier over and spoke to her in Spanish. She basically said it was us not her in Spanish. I reiterated it was not us. They gave me the red onion and nuked some chicken. The lady took my receipt. I asked for it back and had to wait for her to print a new one. I don't know why she couldn't just give me my original back but she didn't. It also said I should get a free item for my inconvenience and I didn't get anything. That's probably why they keot my receipt. The new receipt didn't say anything about a free item or 20% off a you pick 2. It was kind of sketchy. They are also very expensive...
Read moreSo unhappy with the tiny pick two that I received while at the Bay Shore mall today. I was so hungry that I did eat that pick two meal that cost me nearly $10.00 and looking for more food afterwards. Posted on Panera's FB page and received immediate response to PM them. I did just that, got an apology and was advised to talk to manager. I knew deep down in my heart that this was a "corporate" thing - pay money, get less but I did talk with manager anyway. Yup, they must follow portion sizes and, BTW, if you get anything on the sour dough bread, the piece of bread is so small hence cutting down on anything you put on it - even if just vegetables. Bottom line = corporate greed. If I attempt a pick two or anything ever again at a Panera, they will be returning my money to me before I even take the tray off the preparation table if I am unsatisfied with...
Read moreAs we were walking in we saw a man outside smoking a cigarette. We walked in and one cashier was helping a woman who was placing an order for the entire world and the other one was having a problem with the customer and their receipt. We waited and waited. Finally the cashier with the problem bill runs out the door grabs someone and it was the man with the cigarette. He comes over to the register, clears his throat and starts pushing buttons and touching the counter. It grossed me out. He corrected whatever the problem then went in the back past all the bread carts. I don’t know if he washed his hands but the fact that he didn’t even Purell after a cigarette and went right back to work was gross. We walked out and went to a different Panera and got screwed with our bill there. So I guess all Paneras in general have just gone...
