A quick 10 minute drive off the NYS thruway (between exits 41 and 42) will bring you to Waterloo Premium Outlets. The complex itself is huge. As you drive in, you will be inside an enormous circle of stores. The parking is free here, and unless you want to exhaust yourself walking to all the different stores, it's best to drive to different sections and visit the stores within that area. There are tons of stores to choose from including childrens, womens and mens clothing and shoes, outdoor, home goods, make-up/perfume, and many other specialty stores. There is a decent food court and a few other places to grab a bite throughout. There is a public restroom in the food court area.
Deals and sales at Waterloo Premium Outlets are hit or miss in my opinion. End of season sales are absolutely fantastic! You can get some great deals on major holiday sales as well. However, if your looking for true outlet prices here, you probably won't find them on any random day.
If your going to really get some shopping done and don't care about prices, I definitely suggest making the trip. There are so many stores to choose from, make sure you have a lot of time to shop! If your looking for great deals, it's best to shop end of season.
I'll add that the entire mall offers a 10%...
Read moreI recently visited Finger Lakes Premium Outlet with my daughters for our annual back-to-school shopping trip, and I must say, we left feeling quite disappointed. I’ve been to this outlet many times and always appreciated the great deals I could find. However, this visit felt different.
While most stores were advertising 30 to 70% off, we were shocked that the prices were still extremely high, even after the discounts. Items that used to feel like a steal now seemed overpriced, which took away the excitement of finding a good bargain. It’s not just the prices that were off, though. The outlet itself seemed unusually quiet, lacking the bustling energy it used to have. The fewer crowds made the experience less lively, and it left me wondering if this is a new trend.
I’m not writing this to give a bad review, but more out of curiosity and concern. I’ve always loved shopping at Finger Lakes Premium Outlet, hoping this was just a one-off experience. But if this is a sign of things to come, it might change how often I visit...
Read moreWaterloo Prime Outlets I was heading to Rochester last week and turned of the thruway to go to the outlets looking for winter clothes. My instinct was not to bother to drive out of my way as in recent visits it had been a waste of time. All I can say is follow your instincts! It was such a waste of time and a very frustrating place to visit. The poor site design means that you have to park and go into the shops, get back in your car, drive to the next shop and park and so on. The architecture or should I say ‘lego’ buildings have no aesthetic value and the merchandise in the shops offers very little worth having with no better prices you find in malls and there is nowhere to get a quality lunch. I left and drove onto the Eastview Mall in Rochester and was delighted with all the choices I just wish I had remembered the last time I went to the Waterloo outlets and how underwhelmed it was, I could have saved time by not leaving the thruway and adding extra time...
