Terrible Customer Service Experience at Ace Hardware
I recently visited the Ace Hardware store at 960 Mamaroneck Ave in the Village of Mamaroneck, NY, and it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I went there to purchase a PVC pipe and was met with complete indifference from the staff.
Upon entering the store, I noticed four workers sitting by the entrance, absorbed in their cell phones. None of them offered any assistance. When I asked where I could find a PVC pipe, one of them lazily looked up and said it was "on the left at the back of the store." I searched thoroughly but found no PVC pipes there.
Frustrated by the lack of help, I decided to leave. It was only then that I noticed the PVC pipes stored outside in a rack. Given that I was in a hurry, I reluctantly decided to purchase the pipe. When I asked the workers if the pipes outside were for sale, one of them claimed he didn't even know they were there.

One employee said he had something to cut with but didn't want to fetch a measuring tape to find the center length of the pipe. At this point, my frustration peaked, and I told the employee that their customer service was terrible. Instead of addressing my concerns, he laughed and ridiculed me with the other employees as I left.
I will never visit this Ace Hardware store again, even if it means driving 20 miles to another store. I didn't think it was possible to find worse service than at Home Depot, but this Ace Hardware proved me wrong. I strongly advise against visiting this store if you value good customer service. You will likely leave as...

Iām still happy that we have AC Hardware in town, but I feel compelled to update my review based on my last two visits. While I truly appreciate the convenience of having a local hardware store, I left both times feeling somewhat like an intruder. When I greeted the staff with a friendly "good morning," I was met with blank stares. At the paint counter, the team didnāt offer help, and when I tried to lighten the mood with a joke about a rough day, the response was the sameāno engagement.
I believe the staff could really benefit from improving their customer service attitude. That being said, I do want to mention that the woman who works there is always very helpful and friendly, and I appreciate her positive attitude.
Overall, I hope the store can work on making everyone feel more welcome, as the service could really elevate...
