Daisy Dry Goods — Local services in Town of Milton

Stopped in to Daisy dry goods after being told by a friend that she would look at somethings I had and possibly buy them too. When I first walked in I talked to an employee who was very nice. She told me that I would have to talk with the owner about anything I had but the owner was on the phone and I would have to wait. After waiting for her to finsh up her personal call right behind the counter, I told her why I was there and she was quick to say she wasn't interested. After talking a little more she wanted me to show her some jewelry I had so I did so. I was very honest with her about my knowledge of the items I had. She picked out a few things she had liked but would not give me a price of what she thought they where worth, what she would buy them for or what a simular item would go for in her own store. She told me someone else does her pricing which is fine but when I asked if there was any way I could chat with "the pricing lady" because I wasn't looking for retail value for the items but also wasn't looking to get taken advantage of she quickly dismissed me and told me to come back when I had prices. I do not deal with antiques often and was looking for some help. It seemed like she didn't want to help me become more informed about my own items so she couldn't take advantage of me. The items in the store looked nice and reasonably priced. It may be a nice place to shop. But I can not speak for that because I have not been on that end of the "daisy dry goods" experiance yet. As far as the selling experiance. I don't think I'd try it again. I prefer a more friendly approach when...

Fun place. Lots to look at and browse through. It's also open on Sunday which allows for a walk around town with a fun destination. Love to have lunch and walk over after to take in the latest pieces...
