The Medbery Day Spa — Local services in Town of Milton

This spa is super unorganized. My husband and I came 2 hours away for a spa weekend and I had previously confirmed my appointment by phone call, email and text. They called me 6:30pm the night before to tell me that the couples massage I booked for 10:00am the next day, they only had one masseuse during that time frame and that someone else had booked a single massage during that same time. I booked October 10th online and then called the spa to speak with someone and confirm for October 22nd. While speaking to a staff member she then accidentally booked me for three more appointments that I got notifications go on my phone. She explain there was an error but my 10;00am couples massage was booked and reserved. I have text and an email confirmation as well for my appointment. ||When the staff member called me to let me know there was nothing she could do, she then proceed to be unaware of my reservation because she was apparently in the UK. Not sure what that had to do with my booking. ||This is my second booking with them. Once before for a group visit that a friends, which one booked all the appointments, also had a scheduling mishap. I should have known.||Save yourself from being inconvenienced. Book somewhere where confirmations and reservations don’t fall through last minute. This review is for the Inn only, the Spa and Restaurant are very much separate entities. I was a long term guest of the Inn/Hotel for over a year, so I think the following critique is very much deserved. The Inn/Hotel room's appointments are shoddy: linens, furniture, fixtures, etc., are shabby, stained, past expiration date, and the walls of the rooms are paper thin. You can literally hear your neighbor pass gas, let alone the usual sounds of conversation, TVs, snoring, etc. Also, Management exercises truly questionable Business Practices. There are tenants, on a separate floor of the Hotel from the guests, that Management utilizes as auxilliary employees as well as a long term guest, who is also a Management family relation or friend, used in that same manner - this in addition to a designated Hotel Housekeeper. If you are a heavy sleeper and of a strong character that can disregard gossip, as well as incessant nosiness even to the point of obstructive snooping, and are also of limited budget, then this Inn will be well suited enough. The outside of the Inn is very historically charming, and it is the location of the Inn - Ballston Spa itself - that makes this review more than 1 star.
