Banter by Piercing Pagoda — Local services in Town of New Hartford

A couple weeks ago i went to get my second cartilage piercing done and the “store manager” was the one to pierce me. She then put the dot on my ear and asked if i liked it and i said yes so she proceeds to get the piercing gun and then she pierced my ear NOT in the right spot and not even on my cartilage. She pierced it through the back side of my ear towards the middle and she pointed it down. Mind you using a piercing gun isn’t safe but so i just let it be and went on with my day. So about 3 days went on and my ear still was not getting any better. The pain was awful. It had me in tears. So i went back to complain and i was told to take it out immediately. My ear was so swollen and red. I was then told to come back once the swelling goes down to be pieced again for “free” so i did bc i paid for it to be done i wanted it done. So i go back about 2 weeks later and i got it pierced on the opposite ear so i didn’t have any problems before instead now my skin went around my earring and i had to pry it off my ear. I wanted to make a return, so I explained to the person assisting me what I was doing. She then stated she could only do an exchange. I said on the receipt it shows I can get a gift card per their policy. She rudely said she can't do that then held on to the receipt so I wasn't able to show her where I was referring to. She seemed perturbed that I was correcting her. She then rolled her eyes and said well it's her call (pointing at the manager) not mine. She then talked about this secretly with her supervisor and then did complete the return on a gift card. They didn't really apologize or make it a pleasant experience. I felt more of an inconvience that I was impacting commission...

The worker was very rude and pushy. She kept giving attitude when you didn't agree with her and she got defensive when we didn't buy what she suggested. The earrings are nice and the piercing part went well. Except she clearly was not happy and did not explain things very well. Had to ask if you wanted an answer. Poor attitude and was not a pleasant dealing. However I gave her the benefit of the doubt in hopes me being pleasant would make her realize or maybe she was having a bad day, but did not work.
