Bath & Body Works — Local services in Town of New Hartford

I used to shop at Bath and Body works for years before they went downhill. I’ve purchase well over $100 of lotion there and noticed within a month the goes clumpy and separates. When you shake it the ingredients don’t seem to want to mix back together either..Disgusting! Also I went in there for Christmas presents, NOEL lotion, mini candle and the wax candle cubes. Online they said they sold them. No where in that store are ANY NOEL bean candles or wax cubes, actually no wax cubes or mini candles whatsoever of any other scent. Talk about false advertisment. Not to mention, the past two times I went into that store NO workers come to greet me or help me. I’ve tried approaching some for help for where I can find the wax cubes or get a tote bag but they’re all busy greeting customers that come in after, talking to friends or going behind the check out counter to do nothing. It’s like their trying to avoid me. Lastly, I’ve signed up for receiving coupons and emails 5 years ago and got nothing. I’ve yet to purchase anything this year as they didn’t have what I was looking for and I keep getting spam emails saying “thanks! You’re in!”. It really takes 5 years to get my email in? I didn’t give it out at all this year to them. Needless to say I have no desire to go back into that store. I will gladly do business with...

The store is clean and well-organized, and offers a wide array of products in every conceivable fragrance. There are testers available for almost every individual product - and those that may be missing one almost certainly have a tester available in that same fragrance family, but in a different category (lotion - body spray, for instance.) The employees are always incredibly kind and quick to offer assistance, without being overbearing or making one feel they've been placed under surveillance. The prices are higher than they were when I was a child, but that's true of everything, everywhere - they're still reasonable, and sales happen often enough that you won't feel the need to kick yourself if you decide you don't actually like that fun, new scent as much now that you're at home (something that happens to me at least 50% of the time, but trying something new sometimes yields positive results!)

Overall, it's always a treat to visit Bath & Body Works, and I don't think I've ever left feeling disappointed with the obscene amount of time I spent browsing (and inhaling) my way across the salesfloor and back.

Very dissapointed with my most recent online purchse. I purchased the ridiculously expensive soaps for a buy 3 get 3, a reasonable deal!, just to get my follow up email stating that 2 of my items were out of stock but "not to worry, I wouldn't be charged for them." When I looked at my order again I saw the 2 soaps that were out of stock were 2 of the 3 free ones and instead of adjusting the price of all the soaps to allow me to still get the deal they were advertising I was still charged full price for the other 3 soaps?? (There was no indication at the time of purchse that these were out of stock!) making the "deal" more like a waste of time and money due to the added price of shipping and handling. Bath and Body didn't even offer the option to have the soaps (a common lemon with no special holiday markings may I add) shipped once back in stock or to replace the 2 with a different type? So much for Black Friday "deals." I'm sure I can find fancy $7 soaps...
