China Express — Restaurant in Town of New Hartford

I got the lo mein with the only chicken that didn’t have a crust, so not the general tsao, the other one. The lo mein was completely bland, had absolutely no taste and was basically just noodles with no seasonings or veggies. Based on the texture of the chicken, I thought it might be a little undercooked, but I my dad thought I was being a little paranoid and told me to just eat it (I unfortunately was the one who choose this place, sorry dad) The chicken didn’t taste very good either. After eating the completely bland food, I read reviews about people who got food poisoning, and thought about how there was a good chance I was gonna get sick. I ate the food at 3pm on 4/18/25for the first and LAST time, and it is currently 12 noon on 4/19, and I haven’t gotten sick yet and hope I don’t soon as food poisoning symptoms can occur 2-3 days after eating. This is DEFINITELY NOT WORTH RISKING GETTING SICK OVER AND THE FOOD IS BLAND AND THEY USE TOO MUCH OIL. I’m starting to think the people who wrote the 5 star reviews were bribed. So disappointing to know that the food at this place had such a negative effect on my body. I have been eating here for years & I haven’t got sick up until now. I ate some of their food yesterday & this morning I woke up with a headache, stomachache & the need to throw up which I eventually did. I have been laying in bed all morning, took a nap & I felt better but now I am back to feeling weak & tired again. I have heard stories of people getting sick from eating at this place. My son was one of them & I experienced it first hand from watching him wince to him laying down & feeling terrible too. The warning signs were there. I just didn’t think that it would happen to me. Safe to say that I will not be eating from this place ever again. Steer clear please. If you think it can’t happen to you best believe that it will. I went there for a quick late lunch before picking up my child at Billy Beez on Sunday, February 13, 2022. On February 14, I woke up with extreme stomach pains, chills, hot flashes, nausea, headache, diarrhea, vomit and etc. Later that night, I fainted from dehydration hitting my head on the bathtub. I went to Slocum Dickson on Tuesday where I was treated for food poisoning and dehydration. I attempted to call the restaurant to advise the owners but there was no answer.
