I just left the store. I hope this message reaches management or a supervisor. I was checking out with my purchases at register 1 and a sweet young lady named Raquel assisted me. She commented on my dog decorations I had just bought for my kitchen- she asked if I had dogs and what kind. She then asked for pictures and what breed they were. She was so sweet and happy to be having an interaction with a customer, and it made my day as well.
What Raquel didn’t know is that my trip to hobby lobby today wasn’t a spur of the moment, but a planned trip to buy a memorial frame for one of my Dogs that passed away just a few days ago. She was just a puppy and it was very unexpected. I had been crying on the way to the store and was trying my best to hold it together- and had prayed on the car ride there for strength and a sign everything was going to be okay. Having that conversation with Raquel showed me that I did have the strength and it was a true sign that God is around me during this tragedy in my life.
Thank you Raquel for making a choice to be kind today, instead of meandering through your workday. You have made a difference to me. That conversation alone has made a huge difference in a strangers life....
Read moreI LOVE Hobby Lobby, but my last visit a couple of weeks ago was a bit disappointing. My mom found a beautiful piece of furniture that was in a section with signs saying either 65 or 66% off. The associate told her that it was misplaced, and then completely shut down and treated my mother quite disrespectfully. She was so upset after her visit, as was I, for how she had been treated and for the fact that no solution had been offered. I have worked in customer service for 12 years, and every place I have worked you always treat the clients fairly and if something was mislabeled, you offer a solution, or at the very least an apology, not just, "Well...
Read moreLove this place. There is something for nearly any hobby craft or project, adult or child. Prices are reasonable. Sometimes a little expensive but compared to michaels or joann fabrics they are not unreasonable. I do love the constantly rotating new inventory and diversity of selection. Always check oit the clearance racks for great deals. Just keep your eyes open when searching for specific items they do have a tendency to rearrange often making it tricky to always locate your items. Staff is usually helpful and polite about going out of their way to help you locate things. There tends to be a consistent shortage of cashiers making checkout times extended which is the only reason i dont give 5 stars.
Id like to see 5D diamond painting kits and...
