We came in to golf and then eat and when I told her this is the first time we were here and wasn't sure how it goes. She pulled us over to our bunker. She then proceeded to set up the computer so that we could start doing the golfing. She did not ask us if we wanted drinks so we had gone to the bar to get drinks and she then delivered them. And she asked if we wanted to eat anything after we were almost done with our first 30 minutes golfing. We said could we extend it and she said certainly and we extended it for another half hour. She didn't really tell us a lot about how this was supposed to work, nor tell us that we were going to have to occasionally tap on the computer when it said we needed to try it again and I finally figured that out. She didn't seem very friendly near the end. She had mentioned earlier that if we didn't want to extend the golf time, she could set us up at a table and we could continue eating there. When our time did run out. She didn't give us that option. She gave us the check and said there's another reservation coming in. She seemed Kurt and in a hurry to move us along. I understand if there was another reservation but she didn't even offer for us to sit down. Have some more drinks or some more food which we would have done but she really turned us off on staying. There was even going to be some live music which she could have told us and that would have made us stay even longer. She didn't bother to offer anything to us once we were done with our golf. We tend to be a family who spends a decent amount of money at restaurants and tips very well but she got less tips from us and definitely the facility got less business and money from us. We had started out thinking this was a great place and by the time we left she gave us such a sour taste that we aren't sure we...
Read moreIf you like golf, beers, and below average waitresses - you'll LOVE this place. While the simulator for playing is a great rig, with some minor inconsistencies - you at least know what you're getting into. You will appreciate the semi-private room with a suspiciously close monitor to your back swing (with Driver). At least in room 6.
The rig, screen, and projectors are definitely high quality. But, something feels like it could use a tweak. Can't fault it for being relatively new so they are working through the kinks. But even the waitress / server couldn't keep track of our group's food /drink order. Which could lead to an "accidental" good deal for you, but screw over your buddy.
It should end up being a favorite for many amateurs and veterans alike. But may end up falling short during the warmer season. My guess is they will aim for a "post 18 watering hole" with the ability to demonstrate the exaggerated tales from the round earlier.
Otherwise, the place has a lot of potential but needs some tidying up to make it really successful. You'll have fun, but it will definitely be a different place 6 months, to a year from now. Also, the servers will probably always walk in and ask if anyone needs anything, right in your back swing without fail. With some persuasion, you may be able to bang a few of them in the bathroom. "Talk about a...
Read moreI visited The Bunker for a corporate event and overall was impressed by the decor, layout, food, and incredible service provided by the staff.
All of the staff were very helpful, friendly, and available. Whether you're playing golf, throwing darts, sitting at a table or just standing around, someone would be there to clear a plate, get you a drink, or help set up a game. I mean it when I say that the service rivaled what I've experienced at high-end restaurants. Very impressive.
There was finger food such as hummus and vegetables, sliders, wings and dumplings. Everything was good, but the sliders were amazing. The burgers were made fresh, cooked to a perfect medium, and packed with flavor.
The look and feel inside is very crisp and modern, with a grey/black/white color scheme and nice use of primary and accent lighting that creates an upscale and upbeat atmosphere. The only thing I can critique is that the men's bathroom only has one stall and one stand-up, so with a packed house there was a line a few times.
Overall, I would highly recommend this venue for a corporate event. It's also a great place to just stop by for a drink or bite to eat, regardless of whether or not you're looking to play some...
