My daughter and I dined in on their third day of soft opening. (8/14/2024) The service was great, and the staff was attentive to our needs. The speed was as expected and not slow, as time is needed to bring out the items to cook or eat. The selection isn't bad, but could be broader in flavors. At this location, they have a bar right when you walk in. In the far back area, there is a section where there are a couple of prepared items such as Egg Rolls, Japchae, Kimchi, and Pickled Radish. Also included in that section are the ingredients to make your own dipping sauce to your liking, and finally, there are a variety of cut fruits. We decided to go with Korean BBQ and Hotpot, which at this time came out to $33.99 per person during dinner time, plus $5.00 for doing both options rather than just one. We finished approximately an hour after and were quickly assisted in receiving our check, and then left. Overall, I think that the inside looks as expected for a new place; however, I expect more of an update in the future where the atmosphere will feel a lot more natural, such as learning what volume to set the music at, or decorations and placement of certain tables or stands. I would return again and I recommend that you try it out for yourself. Update: as of 9/2/2024
We've gone several times since they opened, and I will say that the decorations have improved. Therefore, the atmosphere rating has gone up. Additionally, the food selection in terms of sides and sauces has increased. They added Gochujang Paste in the sauce area, Korean Shrimp Chive Pancakes, Fried Chicken, Non-spicy Tteokbokki, Pickled Daikon, and Carrots. Overall, there have only been improvements.

Read moreI didn't get any pictures this go around because I was super hungry. This was our first time eating here. I read the reviews about the meat being fatty, the all you can eat service being uncomfortable because they ask you each time what different cute of meat you want, there being too much flavor, and some other things about the tables. Gotta say as an over 250lb Korean going to eat here, this is probably the best Korean barbecue I've had so far that wasn't homemade. I not small, I'm 6' and a bit over 250 and could easily fit into the booth. The only thing I can say that I wasn't expecting was that there were no vents over the barbecue tables.
Red meats tend to be fatty especially the belly. If you want something less fatty try chicken or fish. The smoky garlic pork belly is still my favorite, will be getting more of it next time. The spicy beef bulgogi was amazing! Even asked the server to bring some white rice to go with. Yes, you do have to cook it yourself, oh no! Such a travesty, guess what? It's a normal thing to do in a Korean barbecue place.
They have cooking times on the tables for everything so you don't undercook anything to get sick. From what I saw it was pretty clean. The staff was very friendly. They kept coming and checking on us. The seaweed salad, mandu, and the kimchi were very tasty and some of the best I've had at a restaurant. Will be going back to try their...
Read moreA group of 9 friends and I all went to Mr. Kimchi on commercial drive in New Hartford for my birthday. We all ordered what we all wanted. We were all paying separately. Everyone ordered the buffet, hot pot, and grill, the full shebang. After ordering (of which this is when I made it clear to the waitress that it was the first time for every one of us, except 1.) Then we all got up to checkout the buffet and grab our buffet foods. When we all got back to the table.... Our foods were all mixed together on a cart that was left by one end of our table. Nobody has any idea what was what. So I grabbed the waitress and some of the foods she was able to identify.... But some she was not. Then nobody could remember exactly what each of us ordered because this was all new and the amount of options is insanely allot! We made the best of the situation but all of my friends said that they're never going there again. I was disappointed with the staff and the lack of help and information. None of us had any idea what we...
