Men's Wearhouse — Local services in Town of New Hartford

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I wanna start off my saying I work in customer service, and I have never seen or received such horrific service and treatment in my life. The men in my sisters wedding rented their tux’s here and from the very beginning we got extremely rude service. We walked in and we’re practically ignored and when we went to set up an appointment the woman (who we ended up having issues with the entire time) was extremely rude. The men all got measured and one of the suits had to be returned because it was the complete wrong size, we rented tux’s but bought the shirts and as the groomsmen went in the get their stuff they never told them they had to buy the shirts so they left without them and ended up going back to buy them. We initially, at the first meeting, said we wanted pocket squares and ties. A couple days before the wedding we began to notice no one had gotten pocket squares so we had to call and reorder them to be received the day before the wedding. Two of the ties we received were in the wrong color and also had to be reordered and picked up the day before the wedding and they blamed us for both mistakes even though we went into the initial meeting with everything we wanted written down. One of the groomsmen’s shoes were the wrong size and the soles ended up almost completely coming off on both shoes 10 minutes before the ceremony (pictures below). On top of all this we were not notified of a return date and went to return today and were charged $200 in late fees. When talking about the issues with the worker, he claimed that we were complaining about these things just because we didn’t want to pay the late fee and when complained to about the service during the duration of our experience said “well you can’t please everyone”.

I would literally recommend anywhere but here. A Vitullos in new Hartford have always been amazing and tuxedo junction in Syracuse as well. I guarantee buying foreign suits online would be a better experience than this one. Don’t bring extra stress onto yourself during an already stressful time, just go somewhere else. I’m honestly disgusted.

For New Hartford, NY Mens wearhouse I can only give two stars because the rental suits were alright and a few workers were actually nice and helped us with our rental suits. I’m not sure of his name some short guy worker was very rude to my husband when trying to get his rental suits for our wedding. All he was asking was to fix his coat and to keep one of the suit at the shop because we didn’t know if that person would show up and he didn’t listen at all and was very rude. Said my husband didn’t need to fix his coat it was fine that it’s not like he was gonna bend over or pick anything up. Then he gave us the suit we ask them to hold on too. Plus I remember being told the suit should be ready a week or few days before the wedding. Two tiny suits were done three days before which was fine but none of the others were there they came two days before the wedding but then gets mad at the groom that none of the people were there to try on there suits. People are busy we can’t just ask two days before the wedding to come try on there suits. People do have life’s and jobs. Then because of the my husband (the groom) coat didn’t fit we had to pick it up a day before the wedding. We had so much to do and rehearsal plus rehearsal dinner. Why would they think the groom and the other guys would have time two days or a day before the wedding to do all that. The suits weren’t very good it’s like they were falling apart buttons were just popping off. And I feel like there should be instructions on how to put the suit on specially if you get it few days before and don’t have time to learn. No one knew how to put the cuffs and stuff on. And bows looked like a Stiff...

My sister and soon to be brother in law chose to work with men's wearhouse for suits for their wedding. The first time I went in they measured me and the girl that measured me looked like she never used a tape measure in her whole life. I received my suit and it was two sizes too small. On my second visit, I told them my suit was too small and the woman helping me said "we actually have the same suit here in two other sizes so you can see those sizes fit." They had a 38 and a 42. The 42 was too big so they gave me the 38. I then waited a few months for the wedding date to get about two months away. On my third visit, I walked in with my suit and they said it doesn't fit right. They then had to order me a size 40. They called me when it arrived. On my fourth visit, I walked in and they measured me for alterations. I then asked them if they are picking up the cost of alterations for all the mistakes, confusion, and number of visits I had to go through. The lady working said they would not cover it and she said sorry...... she then said that if I didn't pay they wouldn't start the alterations. We argued about the price of alterations and I then just paid the price because I was so disgusted with their service. I was blown away with how disorganized they were and how bad they treated me especially because I spent over $400. Long story short, never go to this location because they will almost always get it wrong. The service is terrible and the prices are outrageous. I will never go to men's wearhouse again because of this situation. I will also be filing this...
