Torrid — Local services in Town of New Hartford

I don’t usually write things like this but I was treated with extreme disrespect by a manager, Lisa, who seemed as though she didn’t want anyone to enjoy their experience, or even spend their money at this Torrid. The minute I come in and start browsing the t-shirts, she makes it known that she doesn’t not want me touching anything by saying “if you touch anything, just give it to me. You don’t have a board don’t even try to fold it.” As I work in retail, I know better than to leave a mess behind. I felt as though I couldn’t even look at the shirt designs to see if there was shirt I would want to buy. It is astonishing to me that she would have that much attitude towards a customer, and I went and alerted one of the cashiers, Ayiana, immediately of this woman’s actions. She is taking my information and giving me vital information so I can file a complaint and we hear the manager, Lisa, again tell someone “everything you touch, I need to fold” in a stern tone. The woman immediately stopped shopping and went and paid. She could have spent much more money in the establishment but the manager ruined that for her. Ayiana was a wonderful girl and I hope that in the future, the store manager is willing to hire more...

The associates are always super helpful whenever I stop in. Since this is a smaller store, they don't have a huge inventory but they are always willing to place orders for me. Their POS system seems a bit complicated as checking out does take considerably longer here than other retailers. I've yet to have a bad experience, and I've always been happy with the quality of clothing from Torrid, but that's a...

The staff here is always amazing. They never fail to greet me with a welcome smile, offer assistance and even open a fitting room for me. They don't hover, but make sure that you know they are there if you need help. I always really appreciate having someone ready to assist when necessary. One of my favorite places to...
