My wife and I received a package of ten lessons with Ballroom Boutique Dance Company, taught over the course of several weeks prior to our wedding, as a surprise gift from my father-in-law for the purpose of our first dance as husband and wife. This was our first time receiving professional instruction in dance. Our talented teacher, Donatas, was charming, kind, humorous, patient, encouraging, and highly effective. Donatas guided us in envisioning our routine for our first dance based on our choice of song, and over the course of our lessons taught us a series of basic and special steps. Keenly observant and highly attentive to our needs, Donatas was able to pinpoint and convey the problem right away whenever my wife or I struggled to execute a dance step, making it clear to us what we needed to do to rectify our moves. Our collective confidence built over the course of our lessons in the studio and practice at home, and by the time of the big day, we nailed the routine, to the wonder and applause of our guests. “I grew up in India. All through my teenage and young adult years, I had the good fortune to attend many social events where dancing was the key part of the event. However, due to my shyness I never dared to take the floor and sat and watched while people of all ages were up dancing and having a ball. There were cousins of mine who tried to drag me to the dance floor, but I was too insecure and would not go.

When I came to America, I got a bit more adventurous but stepped on a few toes of the ladies who were dancing with me and became embarrassed. But my strong desire to learn to dance the proper way never vanished from my mind and so I feel so fortunate to have met Donatas and started learning to dance as I always imagined. The teaching abilities of Donatas simply boggle my mind, he is kind, patient, dedicated, and makes every student comfortable. He has a charm and personality that ensures that every dance student gets the maximum benefit of the class he is teaching. His patience is Socratic and Benedictine as well. Donatas is the most incredible dance instructor we could have ever asked for. We wanted a fully choreographed waltz to a foreign-language song, but procrastinated until less than 3 weeks to the wedding. From our first meeting with Donatas, he made us feel comfortable and confident in our ability to get to where we wanted by the wedding day. In LESS THAN THREE WEEKS, Donatas made sure we were ready and our dance was spectacular. We cannot thank Donatas enough for his flexibility, his teaching style, his ease and his incredible skill. It is still shocking to us that he was able to put our dance together together in under three weeks! We never expected to be able to pull off anything close to our final product and had so much fun while learning as well. In addition to having this incredible dance to look back on, the process of learning and practicing with Donatas helped center us and keep us having fun through some of the most stressful time of wedding planning.
