Absolute Yoga Studio — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

I've been taking the Tuesday night Pilates classes now since Sept 2015 and I'm very happy. The former instructor Erika Starr and their current instructor Debra "Debbie" Tassone are top notch. The workouts are very challenging and have been/can be scaled down for people new to Pilates or not in the best shape. The workouts also vary from week to week. Debbie is wonderful about that and makes great effort to vary things and scale workouts down or up to the class. I was very happy about that as I'm one of those who are not in the best shape. These Pilates workouts are a nice change of pace to CrossFit workouts that I've been enjoying as well.

Another favorite was the Power Hour yoga workout on Thursday nights. After completing this workout the next day I felt muscles in my back I hadn't felt ever in a good way. I like this class as well as there was emphasis on balance too. With this class I saw lots of different people in all kinds of shape enjoying this class with me. Great fun workout too.

Absolute Yoga in Woodbury is a very clean and well kept place. Staff is always polite and professional. I couldn't recommend this place more for your workouts. Parking is always abundant and the location is easy to get too. One hint regarding any classes taught there is to arrive about 10 mins early.

I have been practicing yoga for almost 30 years now. I started practicing at Absloute almost 10 years ago and haven’t left. It’s like home! As a physical therapist I loved the varied styles of yoga from restorative to Ashtanga and the inclusiveness for students with limitations ( chair yoga, yoga for MS, prenatal yoga). I eventually found the time to complete my teacher training there. It has deepened my personal practice and has helped me incorporate it into my physical therapy practice. I have been a student of Absolute Yoga for many years and have also had the pleasure of participating in their Yoga Teacher Training. Being both a student and teacher trainee truly transformed and enriched my life. I have met many wonderful people there and have made many beautiful memories. The yoga teachers are kind and compassionate. The staff makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. Leslie, the owner, is lovely and truly cares about her students. She is very supportive and uplifting.
