Prime Time Butcher — Local services in Town of Oyster Bay

Went there the day before Christmas eve. And it was an hour before closing. I explained i was new to the area and sorry for coming in last minute. I was just looking for 2 items. A brisket and pork belly or pancetta. They didn't seem interested in helping me at all. ..and I get it. Last minute and all. I felt pushed into getting the whole brisket. 18 lbs. I wanted half that. Ok fine I get it last minute. Over priced . Ok fine I get it it's the holiday. But this.. sir do you have any pork belly or pancetta? " no I don't carry that . " do you know where maybe I could get some nearby?. .." NO. I have no idea"... Cmon.... your are butcher and have no idea. ...OK. thanks anyway. .... Sooooo. IVARONE BROS. is apparently in the same complex and has pancetta, pork belly, and prime brisket. ...So I'll bet doing my catering and future home shopping from them in the future. And I'm pretty sure Prime Time does not give a...

A gem of a place! Moved to the area this summer and have been looking for our local, family owned butcher shop to support. We eat a lot of meat in this household and entertain a lot so it's important to us to find local businesses we love and that love their customers back.

We were making Chicago style Italian beef sandwiches and needed a chuck roast. Popped into Prime Time and was greeted by Lou, who is an owner with his son. Lou couldn't have been more helpful or friendly - we had a couple laughs! The chuck roast was perfect and so fresh but we also tried the bliss burgers with brioche buns and marinated beef skewers and... OMG. I'll never have a regular burger ever again!

All in all, it was a great experience and I left with a smile on my face and excitement to have found our go-to butcher! Can't wait for the next time I go...
