Dec 7, 2024 I attended a LICOA (Long Island Corvette Owners Association) holiday dinner with members of the group, significant others and spouses.
Here’s my take…
🎄 Event Review: LICOA Holiday Dinner at Crest Hollow Country Club – December 2024 ✨🍽️ The LICOA Holiday Dinner at Crest Hollow Country Club was a perfect way to close out the year—elegant, festive, and filled with great company, incredible food, and holiday spirit.
🏛️ Event Space: Crest Hollow was beautifully decorated for the season—twinkling lights, winter florals, and just the right touch of holiday magic without going over the top. Our event was held in one of their grand ballrooms, which was spacious and tastefully lit with uplighting in warm holiday tones. The setup was seamless, with plenty of room for mingling, dining, and dancing.
🍸 Cocktail Hour: A total standout! The cocktail hour featured a wide variety of stations, including a raw bar, pasta station, carving table, and passed hors d’oeuvres that never stopped coming. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and served with style. The seafood station—especially the shrimp cocktail and oysters—was a major crowd-pleaser.
🍽️ Dinner: Dinner was equally impressive. I opted for the filet mignon, which was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and served alongside a rich red wine reduction and seasonal vegetables. Others enjoyed dishes like stuffed chicken with wild rice and a hearty vegetarian risotto—each dish plated beautifully and served hot. It’s rare to see banquet food this consistent and flavorful across the board.
🍰 Dessert: Dessert was festive and fun—plated cake slices paired with a full dessert station that included mini pastries, holiday cookies, and coffee. There was even a hot chocolate bar that added a cozy touch and brought out everyone’s inner kid.
🎉 Atmosphere & Service: The staff was polished and professional throughout the night. Service was timely and attentive without ever feeling rushed. The room was filled with laughter, holiday music, and genuine warmth—a perfect reflection of the LICOA community.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crest Hollow Country Club delivered an unforgettable evening for LICOA’s 2024 Holiday Dinner. With top-tier food, elegant ambiance, and seamless service, it was the kind of night that reminds you why gathering together—especially during the holidays—means so much.

Read moreLet's start by saying I had a horrible experience .I had my wedding here on September 4,2016. I booked this place because of there garden. I was told I had to use there florist and no one from outside . They were stern on using there own people for everything . Firstly my banquet manager never responded to my questions or concerns before the wedding. He would only call to inquire about my next payment . Secondly, On the day of my wedding I arrived at crest hollow at 4pm. My cocktail hour started at 6pm. So I had more than enough time to take photos. On thay day they had four brides including myself. I watched all three brides be taken to the garden. Everytime I inquired about the garden they kept saying a bride is there they will take me next. Time passed by and I was never taken to the garden . On my wedding day can you imagine how I felt ! Besides all of that there's more to top it off. In my cocktail room my swan was not carved with our names which was promised . Another bad thing , I paid full price for each and every one (8) vendors to have a meal. I asked my vendors during my wedding if they have eaten. They replied no , because they are only offering chicken and fish . Now I had other things on the list for dinner . I believe if I'm paying full price for each vendor they should be given an option to what they would like to eat because some were vegetarian. When I brang this to the attention of the matradee he said that wasn't true they can choose. Moving along , I was not allowed to have an effect called dancing on the cloud because they said no smoke however I explained it wasn't smoke and they gave me an excuse about the "new" Nassau rule. However after my wedding I seen venues having it done in the Nassau area that was just another dream shattered. Anyway to top everything off, they were cleaning my tables off before my guest were finished dancing . They took everything off including water and deserts that was not touched . My guest was dying of thirst after a long night of dancing and my wedding finished at 11pm so there's no excuse . Not like they were having another party. My banquets manger acted like he never saw us on our wedding day he didn't even come over to greet us. We paid our money like everyone else and whoever wants to be completely satisfied on there big day please don't make the mistake of the beauty of this place like I did . Horrible stay away! Mitchell was my banquet manager! This place years ago maybe was good however now it's all about money and no...
Read moreI've attended many weddings at Crest Hollow country club and the venue is definitely gorgeous but the food is a hit or miss, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's not. However, planning my own wedding at Crest Hollow was so stressful and the day of my wedding they had multiple large events so it felt like chaos. Initially the person who I booked my wedding with was either fired or quit so all the things he had promised us within our price range was then denied by the next person months later. My parents and I had to renegotiate everything that was initially promised and let go of items that I could no longer afford. They informed us that the glass gazebo (which I paid extra for) would have AC and be able to accommodate the 500 guests I had but the day of it was so tightly packed, people could barely breathe in the heat. The venue event the coordinator kept rushing us and it felt like everything needed to happen and maybe he was trying to be efficient but I didn't get to enjoy my own wedding because I kept being rushed. Also, I was promised a bridal attendant that was supposed to be with me all day, this woman was BARELY there. She held on to my phone kept going missing so I couldn't find anyone I needed (I had a 500 guest wedding, I need a phone to find people). She would help me get from one location to another but that was about it, she kept messing up things I asked for and she also kept my family out of the bridal suite. I had been waiting for my mom and aunts to come early for photo's and WITHOUT my knowledge and without asking my consent she kept my whole family out of my suite while she had my phone so I was basically locked in a room for parts of my wedding with no clue where anyone was. She was also rude with my family members which I do not appreciate at all. There appeared to be at least 3 other large scale events as the place was packed but this was not how I wished to have my wedding day. I get the need to make a profit but they need to organize how many large events they book in a day so their staff is not overworked and stressing out their customers in the process. I will def NOT be hosting an event here again, at least...
