Nice space, plenty of parking, and nice ambiance. The sushi was amazing- we had the rock and roll specialty roll 8/10 which is a deep fried roll so nothing is raw. The combination teriyaki 7/10 - chicken teriyaki with steak which comes with rice and soup during lunch special; the sauce was my favorite part of it. However when coming here I recommend the sushi more unless youâre not into that. The spicy crab meat cucumber salad 9/10 is like the classic spicy kani salad - one of my favorite kani salad so far; fresh and the hint of spice was great. The pork bao 10/10 was great and I was very happy I decided to get it - comes with two baos and was very very good. The plum wine 9/10 was sweet but not overly so - I would get that again with my sushi. The caramelized banana 9/10 is one I definitely recommend for dessert - and I donât like bananas so itâs saying a lot; I got it with the green tea ice cream and loved the ice cream as well. Service was great - she was attentive and patient; the food came out pretty...
Read moreI ordered off of Doordash so I thought it was an issue with doordash but it turns out that the restaurant delivers their own food. So the guy arrived with my food and said that I "Had to tip him because I did not put a tip on the app" I told him that's correct I didn't plan on tipping and he got an attitude and said that because he had to drive far for the delivery (13 Minutes away) I have to tip in cash. I said definitely not happening, so he called his store and spoke in Chinese (I assume) and said okay I have to give the food back. I said okay and then I just took a pic of him holding the food. Like an hour later they marked the food as delivered and I tried to report a problem with the order for a refund and doordas app tells me I have to call the store directly so I do and they store tells me I have to "call door dash, thank you bye bye" so now I gotta jump through hoops for a refund on food I never even ate....
Read moreThis is not your typical suburban sushi restaurant. The fish they serve with the chirashi and sushi platter are not the highest end fish (otoro, chutoro, etc.) but it was a great assortment of fresh fish simply prepared and presented. At the price point this is manhattan quality without the manhattan price. I've been to a few omakases in the city that haven't been as good and more than twice the cost. The cherry blossoms uni is not to be missed and beautifully presented (with Santa Barbara uni and I'm told even Hokkaido uni at times when they can find it). Fish is sourced daily similar to any high end sushi joint. This place is definitely a great hidden gem and a must visit!
(On a side note, I didn't order their general tso's chicken but I think if you are not here for the sushi dishes, you are...
