Royal Queen Food Take Out — Local services in Town of Ramapo

Update 07/12/25: I enjoy the food so much from Royal Queen food takeout that I decided to go back for a second round to cater a backyard, graduation barbecue and maaaan, Mama Carol did not disappoint the food when I went to go pick it up was already prepared and ready made fresh the day of the event. We had mushroom rice, authentic real with real Haitian black mushroom , Griot deep fried pork with pickles vegetable, sautéed almost curry light chicken, so tender, and fresh meat, chicken and beef patties in a puff pastry so delectable, tender and flaky I keep coming back here because the food and the hospitality never disappoint for such a small storefront. They deliver powerful flavors and taste. It feels just like authentic AT HOME cooking made by your grandmother or mother. Highly recommend going there for lunch or dinner and if you’re ever need some catering, this is the place to do it? I do recommend you call ahead because she likes to prepare special treats for everyone and give her time to make an authentic meal at her own pace for you. Highly recommend this place 1 million stars I had guest from all over from Egypt, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, and good USA visiting this graduation event around 30 people and even picky children and all of them love the food. Admittedly we had food from another place. The creole food finished first within two hours. People were making trays and plates to take home. Yum.

Went for the first time today the sample royal Queen food takeout, and let me tell you as a a man who grew up in Brooklyn, New York in the flatbush section, the taste the food, the atmosphere and the friendly nature of mama Carol as I affectionally call her made this trip so worth it. I have moved upstate recently and have missed a lot of good Caribbean spots well this place definitely took me back to Haiti. I walked in the small location with big taste and friendly service. I kept it simple. I ordered the griot with rice and peas and the peppa peppers. And man did it take me back like I was still in Brooklyn. This place is authentic, specially with the flavors everything was delicious made to order. I’m telling you now she has a fan and loyal customer for life. The best part about this just standing there talking with her and her energy and how much she loves her family and loves what she does makes the food taste even better. I highly recommend coming by and getting a plate. I’m looking forward to the oxtail next time. Definitely glad I stopped in here creole food at his best. My only regret I had to share with the family wish I would’ve ordered larger and more plates won’t make that...

Keepin it real this is the best restaurant in Suffern. The price vs the portions you are getting is insane they bless the plate for real. There is the first real Haitian restaurant in Suffern and I pray it stays it feels like eating grandmas food after church. And they have pikliz with every order like son this spot is a straight up gem. And the griot is actually meat y’know how you be ordering griot and it be fatty more then meat? Not this place this only serving you this best pieces. The owner treat you like family the food taste like home this restaurant insane. In summary 11/10 experiences best restaurant in Suffern and I’ve had them all no joke always going out to eat but this spot tops it. To keep it simple this spot is gas son if you are hungry or trying to feed a family but on a budget or just want good food in general this is your restaurant Suffern listen up im telling u this is THE spot...

Extremely hospitable husband and wife in there early 70s serving up old time finger licking family recipes from Haiti. After entering the restaurant you are recieved by Frantz and his wife as if you were family. Before she takes your order shes tells you what they are serving up with such an amazing smile and it always sounds tantalizing. As you wait for your food the aroma just fills every soul in the restaurant with comfort, joy and happiness. From the moment you walk in to the bagging of your food you are swept off of your feet by Mrs. And Mr. Bordes's love, kindness and hospitality. But the part that is best of all is when you get home and start eating. OMG the love you feel is undescribable....
