PSA - do NOT come seeking pizza. Look - the pizza is objectively good. Good enough Iâve been fooled into trying to get it numerous times. But WOW their service is so inexcusably poor. Itâs disrespectful to your customers. Iâve driven thirty minutes just to get there numerous times to be told thereâs some issue why they donât have pizza that night. The place is supposed to be serving pizza for 9 hours a week. How they canât manage to have enough dough or staff or ability (whatever that nights issue is) to provide that consistently is unfathomable. Itâs shameful they advertise their pizza (the only thing worth going out of your way for) and donât acknowledge how inconsistent and fleeting the window to actually have it is. Iâve brought family and friends here speaking highly of the place to be made a fool of too many times. I feel ashamed to have recommended the place through word of mouth. How are you sold out of pizza 2 hours into a 3 hour window?! Again, nonetheless! And how is there ALWAYS a problem? Theyâll try and pawn you off some other Italian food which never lives up to the hype. This is pitiful business practice. I tried to call ahead twice to avoid this mess again on the drive over and nobody answered the phone. They just let you come in and face the disappointment head on. I know this sounds like a rant, but believe itâs for good reason. This was my fifth and final time being bamboozled and Iâm DONE. If this saves just one person from not waste their time, energy, or money here I feel at peace for writing this all up. Shoutout the counter guy heâs actually a good dude. But to the Sisyphean chef Angelo - get off your high horse and show some decency before youâre out of...
Read moreI want to begin this review by saying I tend to be quite particular about food. I cook everything from scratch and go through the trouble of going to several different stores to source high-quality ingredients. I have dined at many exceptional restaurants and I can say that this place REALLY stands out. Angelo's passion and skill as a chef are evident in every dish he creates; it's like taking a peek into his soul through his food. I later found out he beat Bobby Flay, and once you try his food, you will understand why. All his ingredients are top-notch, and it truly shows in the flavors. Angelo has an impressive ability to make even healthy dishes taste exceptionalâI never thought I would crave a lentil salad, but here I am. If you've been to Italy, you understand what great pizza is, and thatâs exactly what youâll find here. I heard the pizza sells out every night, so get there early. Every item I tried was impressively delicious, and his homemade roast beef is the best I've ever had, so is the fresh mozzarella. You will have some of the best sandwiches of your life here. Also, his selection of specialty Italian products, such as olive oil, vinegar, and hazelnut spreads, is remarkable. Iâve found myself going back almost daily whenever theyâre open, as thereâs nothing quite like this in Suffern or its surrounding areas. Do yourself a favor...
Read moreIf you enjoy your food fresh and made with love this is the place for you! Chef/owner Angelo is a master of his craft and it comes through in his food. Ingredients are sourced from small local farms and bakeries and specialty items are imported from Italy (yum)! I often walk in to find dishes that remind of my childhood, dishes only found in the comfort of grandma or ma's kitchen. As someone who is a huge foodie, I appreciate the small batch cuisines ( that often sell out by end of day) insuring the quality , care and freshness this food brings to my family . Have no fear! If something you came for isn't there, you cannot go wrong trying something else! It's all fantastic! These people enjoy feeding the community and we are so lucky to have a gem like this im Suffern! ...
