DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Town of Riverhead

I want to say that I had four employees help me to purchase a gun and they all we more than helpful and made it all very easy for me. Don't change your personalitys for anyone. With Joe in the back, a gentleman came into the store with no mask demanding to seek help with guns. Joe was helping me at the time. He said, Joe this is hey no mask no service. The guy proceeded I work for the Government and said, " There's no sign at the door saying I need one". Joe was cool about it. Saying do you not know there is a pandemic going on. He delt with the guy as he rambled on then left. But continued our sale transaction. Very informative about my gun questions and told me about ammo they have on sale. Thank you Joe. Chino was just as awesome knew alot and was well informative and friendly like he was a friend from growing up. He was the one that got I started with to get the proseses going. Thank You for all you help and kindness. Josh of cousre has same name as me so he was cool from the go. But helped me to the front counter and helped assist me further along.Thank You. And last bit not least Catherine. She finished the transaction and I got a case of ammo and she had to individually scan them all. Sorry for that. But she did it with a smile and jokes along the way. Sorry for the book but o know what it's like to work in retail and have to be nice to customers and they all were what I needed so thank you guys I hope you get...

Had a great experience. Friendly staff, super clean store. We went to buy two cheap kayaks. Ran into a store employee working in outdoor section. I believe his name was Scott? He was very knowledgeable about kayaks. He explained alot. He owns quite a few himself. He showed us some of his family outings and how over the years he has made upgrades etc. He was not pushy trying to upsell us, he was listening and met our needs. He got our two kayaks up front and asked if we needed help. He also helped us with having the right equipment, such as a good life vest, whistles for coast guard etc. And special thanks to customer paying in line next to us. She was handed a 15% coupon on her receipt if used in next three hours, she said use it. We saved 98 dollars! I couldn't thank her enough. My faith in humanity...

So this older gentleman staff was very rude to me and my brother. My brother grabbed a frisbee and this guy rushed to get it out of his hands even though he did nothing with it and he intended to purchase it. He said it was a special kind and we shouldn't be "walking around" with it if we didn't know what it was. A few minutes later I called him over to ask if they had a heavier weight BB ammo and he said "what you see is what we have, we don't keep more in the back in case our friends come over and ask for them". I have no clue why this guy had this kind of attitude but he needs to be disciplined regarding customer service. My complaint probably isn't the first one about...
