I shop at this location frequently and I am always disappointed at check out. Usually there is a line for the self check out and only one cashier lane open. Once, I had my baby with me. The cashier line was very long and the self check was wide open, so I reluctantly went there with a LOT of items. At one point, all of my scanned items slid off of their tiny table to the floor. I still had items to scan, it was a mess. And can you believe, the lady that was supervising the self check area STOOD THERE AND WATCHED ME STRUGGLE WITH AN INFANT TO PICK UP ALL MY STUFF OFF THE FLOOR. Then, of course I had more stuff to scan but the stuff I picked up off the floor already (obviously) couldn't fit on the table. I didn't know what to do. No more stuff would fit, the scanned items were going to slide off again any minute. I almost started crying right in the store.
Last time I was there I wanted some fire wood but I didn't see it outside. When I got to the checkout with my other items and my baby in the cart, I asked about the fire wood and she told me it was outside. I asked if she could ring it up and I can grab it on my way to the car and she said no. I would have to take my baby, in the cart, go out, get the wood, come back in and maneuver with the cart and baby back to her lane to load my stuff, pay, and leave again. I just don't...
Read moreSale item in circular wasn't carried in store. Was told "that company didn't pay for display just for the ad on our planner"???, that made no sense to me, you would think a store would want to push circular sales items that arent "store brand" as well; and it wasnt first time items in circular arent to be found in stop and shops not just this one. These grocery stores just aren't like they used to be anymore compared to 2-3 years ago. The selection/brands carried went down as well. Feels like they care more about how things look than putting up big displays of ad items like they used to
Im really used to this store, less so since the remodel, but honestly I find myself going to shoprite more and more, because they have much bigger selection, more brands and the displays of items in circular for the week are big and grand, not just 1 store shelf or a tiny red rack that only holds a few pieces that we cant even notice as we walk by it. Shoprite, king kullen and any other chain always carry the circular ad items on big grand displays.
Either the ad items are not easy to find, or you could waste 20 minites looking for it, only to find out that its not even in the store, just in the ad. I guess they took notes from the now...
Read moreWorst customer service, prices extremely high. They should hire young high school students and mentally disabled teens to bag groceries like grocery stores do in the south. Instead you as the customer are expected to do it. Products are way overpriced. The customer service is way friendlier and customer centric at Shop Rite. A small container of blueberries wouldn’t ring up. I had a small screaming toddler with me and after many minutes of trying to ring it up, the cashier yells to another worker to get another one. when the other container wouldnt ring up they wanted to call another worker over. at this point they should have given me the blueberries so I said that and the cashier looked at me like I was crazy. the whole line behind me was annoyed so i had to leave without the produce. I will say the older black gentlemen that cleans is very friendly and sweet. They should five...
