Biggest mistake in asking this branch to manage my membership. They intentionally cancelled the existing membership that i signed up at North Babylon, then they signed me up for a new one, and pretended that did not happened. Removed my guest privileges, did not make me sign or show the new contract. Called in after 6 months of realizing only to learn the person is no longer working there. Another person assisting lied on a note stating "Customer knew everything" and surprisingly left the company after 30 days. The management is using the note to state all was correct from their end and it is my misunderstanding. Straightforward fraud. Me and my wife were laughing through the entire process of the lies management and all the people involved create. Their initial goal is to ignore your request through very creative ways. They will tell you one of the following: The person is busy and will call back, The person is out on lunch, The person has another customer, The person is out of the office. Believe me or not, i called the same day a couple of times and then the person on the call stated "Thank you for calling Burger King", because in their mind this was a joke. If that does not paint the picture of this management then I don't know what will. Worst case is when you ask for a manager, all the sudden everyone is a manager, and then they tell you there are three managers. Managers never get on the call. The entire organization is fraud. Good luck to them, i have cancelled my membership with LA Fitness...
Read moreI had just started getting back in the gym after a long break from it. I decided to join Planet Fitness. Planet Fitness is a nice starter gym and you are enticed by the low monthly payments. But as time went on and if you are serious about lifting weights and training, you quickly (a couple of months) realize that Planet Fitness just does not offer what LA Fitness offers. Additionally, I would like to add that the Planet Fitness location was extremely close to where I live. So, changing gyms was not really what I wanted to do. But with the lack of weight selection, the machines constantly being broken and in need of repair was just too much to handle. I would need to figure out a way to get exercises in within my timeline at the gym. I would have to be creative and figure out ways to uses alternate weights and machines constantly which is just so annoying. I stopped by LA Fitness in Commack where I met Tim G. and we sat down and discussed joining. He was upfront and made me feel at home at the gym in minutes. He has a wonderful personality and is eager to help you either in your fitness goals or in any capacity he may find that would benefit you. The gym has all the bells and whistles and all the machines and weights are functional. The staff is pleasant and helpful at all times. If you can afford to step up in price from Planet Fitness it is worth the...
Read moreLiving in Virginia I loved my L.A. Fitness, upon moving here I was excited to find there was an L.A. nearby. However, in order to use the Commack club I was required to pay a premier club fee of over $100, an extra $10 a month, and also pay a fee for each training session I still had available as the training in NY is higher priced. When experiencing this new "premier" club I found it was a quarter of the size. It lacked a pool, basketball courts, racquetball courts, and also lacked a designated area for stretching/body weight exercises and such. Then when trying to find a trainer they had no master trainers (which I had before and paid a premium for), and also had no trainer that would fit my schedule. On top of the club not being the typical "premier" that I had paid for, very few of the staff is friendly, there is almost always no soap in multiple of the soap dispensers, paper towels on the floor, weights all out of order, and at busy hours it is way too overcrowded to get a good workout in as all the equipment is already taken. I didn't mind paying the premium at first as I absolutely loved my LA fitness in Virginia, but I am disappointed in myself that I didn't demand a refund upon realizing how horrendous...
