It was so exciting getting back into Michael's to browse and pick up great goodies and craft ideas! I called ahead and discussed the mask policy as I am unable to wear a mask due to potential of fainting/medical condition. Though the manager said it is policy, she respected my needs and said come on in, the store was slow and she felt it would be a good time for me to shop. She told me she would tell her register people and employees and I was welcomed and helped as courteously as always. Bravo to the amazing, compassionate staff. And please.... Corporate Michael's... your employees shared with me that they don't feel well having to wear the masks and that they wouldn't be surprised if it weren't they who pass out. They informed me that the air con was not quite cool enough to help prevent them from over heating behind the masks that are decreasing their oxygen saturation. This is inhumane. Please remember, if a patron or an employee faints and injures themselves because they are not getting enough O2 behind the.masks, it will not be Gov. Cuomo that they will have a lawsuit with, it will be the corporation of Michael's.
I hope you will change your policy to highlight the actual details of the executive order, which states at the very end. Executive order applies except if one has a medical condition as long as the person maintains 6 ft distance from other people. Oxygen deprivation is a serious issue. If you want to protect your employees, you should have their O2 saturation checked throughout the day, it will most certainly be low. Anything below 93 is a sign that the body may be in distress. PLEASE PROTECT YOUR EMPLOYEES AND RESPECT THAT ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL AND THAT MANDATORY MASK WEARING IS ACTUALLY A...
Read moreI’ve refrained from leaving a bad review for several times now, but changed my mind after the last experience. I maybe shop here twice a year, so not often at all and yet I have a negative experience each time. None of the employees want to assist customers. They’ll just say the isle number and not walk with you. The store is not easy to navigate. The other night I came in 10 minutes to close, I was that annoying customer—I know. But was looking to make an expensive purchase (cricut maker). One foot in the door and I get a nasty look. I told the store worker that I know they’re closing but was just looking for the cricut maker. Should’ve left then, but proceeded. One staff member got the item from the back. Mind you, it took several minutes for her to locate the item in the back of the store. Through communication on their walk-in devise, she said it was $99. When I was purchasing it, it became $199. Perhaps the walkie cut out? Annoying but still decided to purchase. When she brought it up to me in the box, I wondered if it came with anything. All I asked was to run quick to the isle and grab a mat. The one I took was mispriced and the staff member that brought the item to me was close by. In order to expedite my time as I didn’t want to keep them, I asked for her help to help me locate one mat. That’s all I needed. She showed me a pack of two and gave me a snooty attitude saying “AAND now we’re closed”. It was 9:01. Again, I get it, store workers want to go home, however I used to work in retail and would sometimes stay well after closing time to accommodate a customer especially making a large purchase. I asked her for help so I could quickly grab it and go. I don’t need...
Read moreThey have all of your craft needs in a very wide variety of them and prices are decent actually and the craft supplies are great for all ages they are from very young kids to even people who are older and elderly even they have a lot of selling materials and supplies they have a lot of paint supplies for canvas wise Paints the brushes and customer service here not that I interacted with it too much I would assume they're pretty nice people the store is very neat for the most part is to help your organized in an orderly manner and aisles were clearly marked out from above and also there's really no way you can not notice anything on these shelves and the prices are not so bad either especially when it's clearance and I would recommend also going during clearance and not during clearance is better because you go in wanting one item and you'll come out with a hundred others to make your crafts be better for you and have more enjoyment out of doing this I would sincerely...
