If I could leave less stars I would. David's jewelry in the back right was the worst experience I have ever seen or had in my life of dealing with retail. The woman Zoya is condescending, rude, and worst of all, spewing complete lies. My 94 year old grandmother had work done on her earrings, they charged her twice the quoted price, not allowing her out of it. When the work ended up breaking apart we went again, only to have a complex system put on that she couldn't do with her limited dexterity. Finally after a consultation with another jeweler we were encouraged to go back to have them "make it right." More lying, and refusal to do the listed work was one thing, but then Zoya yelled at my mother for daring to tell her what another jeweler said and promised to make it right. Fast forward another week and I bring them again for a final answer. The result was changing stories, no quote to price despite having the information in front of us, and the kicker was her yelling at me, claiming I have "no idea what I'm talking about" and "you're too young to know anything" and telling me to stop speaking. We were done then. So let's recap. There's a 94 year old ripped off, a grown woman yelled at, and me, who apparently is too young to have a say(I'm not, although I appreciate my gray hairs being unnoticed). And the end result is wasted money and nothing fixed. I'd rather pay the next jeweler out of my own pocket than give them one more cent. Stay away if you value not being screwed. I already left a message for the management, let see if...
Read moreI would like to begin by saying that zoya and David helped make myself and my fiancés vision of my engagement ring a reality. My fiancé and I designed my engagement ring together. Zoya and David were very helpful throughout the process. I am very proud To wear my ring, as it is unique and showcases myself and my fiancés unique taste. Wearing this ring gives me such pride and helps to wear a part of my fiancé on my finger throughout the work day.
I am only giving three stars, as the after care and customer service for the ring provided by Zoya has been subpar. Diamonds on the band of my ring have popped out multiple times (4x since I was given the ring in December 2020). She has fixed the ring for free, each time with the exception of the fourth time. Upon diamonds popping out of the ring for the fourth time she charged to fixed the ring, even though this is the fourth time that the ring broke within a year. She has alluded that I am not careful with the ring. I do not wearing the ring while I cook and when I wear it I am not doing any strenuous activities. I have jewelry in addition to the ring with precious stones, and I have never experienced repairs of...
Read moreSad to have to post this, as Commack Jewelry has been my go to place for jewelry for as long as I can remember. Most recently I stopped by to get a stone replaced and was pointed over to White Silver Collection. The man behind the counter took one look at the silver ring I had brought in before saying he couldn't repair it anytime soon due to the fact it was not real silver, but pewter. Shocked to learn this, I then had to go home and contact the store owner of the shop I originally bought the ring from overseas. They would gladly refund me if I had the ring properly tested and it came back as not silver (it appears that it's rather difficult to actually tell if a ring is silver or not without a chemical test). The next week I was able to go to a local Jared's with a friend who was shopping for a wedding band, where they were able to confirm in their lab that my ring was in fact, silver.
I really wanted to continue to support smaller businesses, but unfortunately it looks like I may have to start going to big name stores if I don't want to...
