This location annoys me. Would give 1.5 stars if I could. They are frequently out of stock on several items. Primarily, some types of dently's bagged treats and the in the "chew" section that houses single wrapped bones, pig ears and bully sticks ect.. they are almost always out of several different kinds or literally have a single one left that is a mutant runt of a bone that nobody else wanted. I included a picture of the area when it was so well stocked I was stunned and texted the pic to my equally shocked husband. That is a rare occasion. Worse yet, the prices are all over the place, they frequently have sale tags up that they DO NOT honor at the register. They simply say the sale ended, too bad for you. Sometimes they say "oh, that sale was over weeks ago!". Seeing as how the circular is a monthly deal, I find it hard to believe you don't have time to take the sale signs down. I try to watch the scanner but I almost always find an item on my receipt that was marked $2.99 but I was charged $5.99 ect. I bring my dog here because, let's face it, there aren't many places dogs are allowed inside and my girl loves it here. She'll start crying and shaking in the parking lot, just dying to get inside. One of her favorite things are when she gets a cookie at the register. Same reason she loves to drive through dairy barn, just to get that cheap little milk bone biscuit that she'd probably snub if I gave her at home. She is a large breed, 75 pounds and she will sit at the register waiting for that tiny biscuit, you can't miss her, she's bigger than most kids. 9 out of 10 times they hand you the receipt, having ignored the large dog the entire time, and start scanning the next person. I will ask them... "Excuse me, but she loves to get that little biscuit. Can she please have one?" And 9 out of 10 times they look put out, like they're paying for that biscuit out of their own paycheck and it's solid gold. I spend no less than $45 every time I checkout and I come in nearly every week. If you can't give my dog a 2 cent biscuit without looking disgusted then you're in the wrong line of work. One time a woman even tried to act like she didn't know what I was talking about "......What biscuit? A milkbone? Huh?" The people at dairy barn give her a few biscuits and tell her she's a good girl.. the dairy barn people are better with pets than these people are! Also, the location is difficult to leave from. The parking lot is RIGHT before the light for the intersection. Making a left you have to hope the turn lane is empty or you'll sit there for several minutes. The good aspects are from the overall company: the variety of pet food, the rewards system and the fact that the app allows you to use the occasional coupon, coupled with the rewards, saves me about...
Read moreExtremely unprofessional and rude!
The first time I made an appointment here they told me it would take 2-3 hours and didn’t receive a call so on the 3rd hour I called and they said my dog would be ready in a half hour and they’d call me. They NEVER called me, my dog was waiting there for 5 hours in a cage!
Then I reluctantly made another appointment to get my dog groomed about a month later and when I came in for the appt, they refused my dogs service because he had a “scab” on his neck that was basically done healing along with calluses on his elbows. Don’t most dogs have elbows like this?! 🤦🏻♀️ Then to make matters worse their MANAGER literally tried to insinuate I was abusing my dog because he was wearing an ecollar and while he was jumping and hyper from being in their salon, I had to use it while there (very gently btw as I know how use a damn ecollar on my dog we were taught by a trained professional) and the woman proceeds to say “don’t do that in front of me” as if I am aggressively abusing my dog! That’s highly offensive! She has zero clue about my dog, or our situation for her to assume I’m just some animal abuser because my 70lb hyperactive lab uses an ecollar 🤦🏻♀️ Give me a break! That’s like an attack on my character as his “mother”! My dog is happy and has a beautiful life that we give him, this ignorant woman’s opinion means nothing to me, other than that this was extremely unprofessional and inappropriate! I find it funny the same people who had zero care that my dog was sitting in a cage for 5 hours all of a sudden has empathy for dogs wearing a safe, and effective ecollar (which has SAVED my dogs life in the past btw). I will not be going back to this store. The employees are all rude too, find a better place with...
Read moreI just got two Winter White hamsters from here for my children, and I can say I was pleasantly surprised. I would've certainly preferred to get from a reputable breeder or at least rescue, but that's simply not an option for Winter Whites (in fact, there seems to be no active hamsteries for dwarf species in all of North America), so pet stores are your only reasonable option. One major concern though is hybridization, but the individuals I observed are about as close to the standard as you're going to find, especially outside of Europe. In fact, I would say that these guys are effectively "purebred", and I would expect the genetics to largely support this. More importantly, and here I want to give extreme praise to our sales associate, Nyah; she said that she tries to interact with the hamsters regularly to tame them, and it absolutely shows as they act as if they were hand-raised! Moreover, Nyah was extremely helpful, patient, and great with my young kids. I looked at several stores in the area, including the major chain competitor as well as a few local well-known independent shops, and these are by far the highest quality Winter White hamsters I've seen, plus the best customer service. I've never left a review for any business on Google before, but I was so impressed and felt compelled to let others know. Big box store or not, when businesses do well, they deserve the praise. And if management is reading this, Nyah certainly deserves whatever reward you grant...
