I signed my daughter Jane up with a 2 session for 10$ trial...at first. The instructor gave personal 1 on 1 attention to Jane and to us, as jane parents. From that very first interaction I knew I made the right decision as my daughter responded positively to the direction and focus expected of her. We decided to sign our daughter up for the year which includes 3 classes a week. WORTH EVERY PENNY and very affordable! You are given a outfit and belt...and so much more!!! What I personally found as a mother and sitting in on the classes is that attendance and consistency is mandatory for her progress. I do appreciate how these classes are set up , as there is no set scedule, you as the parent can come in and join whatever class you want and the structure is always the same. I love that because sometimes things happen and I cant always make the wed or fri and have to instead make a wed and sat. I wanted to write this review for anyone caring for a child that may be " misbehaved" ,and ,or , has special needs. My daughter Jane does and that's why I signed her up for these classes. I have her in special classes at school as well as seeing outside agencies, but wanted to try something else as well to help her be the best she can. I have so much respect for every single teacher that runs these low belt groups with Jane , as she is ..well....a handful!!!!! They are all so patient and not only get Jane to focus but really learn. The effects these instructors and classes have on my child will serve her now and into the future and I'm so happy I decided to do this.I truly have seen so much improvement! This is the place to go if you want to have a good time with your child as you can watch them right there in the classes, and if you want your child to learn skills that will shape them to be confident and strong mentally and physically adults. I originally thought that just my son Hayden who has Autism,ODD,and ADHD would be doing the lessons. However I ended up agreeing to do the lessons with him. And at first it was like pulling teeth to get him to go to class. There is a little less resistance in Hayden going to classes,and sometimes he doesn't want to leave after class. I have seen the improvements Hayden is making in and out of the Dojang. He's isn't having as many outbursts like before. He's slowly improving his social skills since he's really shy. Hayden kind brags about Taekwondo to his Occupational Therapist. She noticed as I did Hayden's strength in his hands improving. As for myself,I have never been someone who likes to quit anything. And though I suffer from my own physical disabilities,I haven't let that stop me. The instructors are awesome in helping me find another way of doing certain moves. The instructors play a huge role in the decision to keep attending. If they had been like the instructor from the original Karate Kid,we wouldn't have come back. I want the instructors to talk to me and not at me. Hayden and I love going to Taekwondo. And we look forward to attending more lessons and gaining more skills. The staff of Master Chong’s World Class Tae Kwon Do are experts at the craft and present the classes with extreme professionalism. Each and every instructor takes the time to explain the moves and reasons for them. They challenge each student to be the best they can be and support and encourage the advancement of each student through their belt advancement. Students at our school in Amherst range in age from 5 years old to their 70s. Each student is inspired to be their best, to respect their instructors, their fellow classmates and the art of Tae Kwon Do. We’re challenged to endure and persevere. We delight in our accomplishments and celebrate in each other’s too. Master Chong has graduated many students into the various Black Belt “dan’s” but in the process has created an enormous family of Tae Kwon Do artists of which I am proud to be a member of.
