I gave a two star rating because our time in this location was not 100% awful. We just had our wedding shower and of course we received two of the same items. One was mailed to us and did not come with a packaging tag, that said who sent it and a gift receipt. We took pictures of the ups sticker that included our name and tracking number.
So we get to the store and the girl at the counter was very rude and continued to attempt to call us liars without coming out and saying it. The manager comes over and is rude as all get out! The manager continues to tell us she wont give us a refund only store credit because we did not have our receipt.
No big deal, we have gift cards from the shower that we planned on using to get other stuff as well. A lady who seemed new approached us and was very helpful and helped us get what we wanted ordered online. She was so kind, and she needed a little help so she asked for it. (Again she seemed new) The "manager" was so rude to her, almost as if she was upset that she was helping us. (The people who have no receipt) Again and again the lady needs the managers number for an override in the computer and the manager continues to be rude. We felt so bad for the lady helping us.
This is what set us off. We used all of the gift cards and store credit we had from the return and had a balance of $2.19 left that could not be put on a gift card because it was less than $5.00. The manager needed to give the lady her override numbers again and made a comment " We normally do not give cash out of our register for people returning stuff they never bought in the first place"
This made me so angry and my soon to be wife too. We both just held our rage inside until we left the store.
Never will I ever have a friend set up a registry at William Sonoma, or its sister company Pottery Barn. And we spend thousands in these...
Read moreDO NOT BUY ALL CLAD PANS From Williams-Sonoma. I spent near $2,000 on an All-Clad 15 piece pots and pan set from Williams-Sonoma. For a pot and pan set at this price point, you would expect it would give lifetime quality and use. All-Clad will, and did not honor their lifetime warranty! I only had an issue with one pan, roughly about a $250 12" nonstick D5 pan. I sent in pictures of the pan by email to All-Clad where it clearly shows the defective pans metal is flaking only in the area where screws connect to the handle! All-Clads response from the supervisor Marissa, 'You cannot tap at all on the rim of there pans because it will compromise the non stick area to peel' I told Marissa I had all plastic utensil's, she then stated you cannot even use Wooden Spoons on there pans???? The area of pan that's flaking is where the screws are connecting handle!!! DEFECTIVE!!! She also stated my set is an older version??? Ok.... so thats your reason to not honor lifetime warranty Marissa??? Attached is a close up of the defective area of the pan. The only area on the pan where the metal is flaking is where the screws connect to the handle. Clearly manufactures DEFECT PERIOD! No wonder All-Clad has a C Rating on BBB. Buyers Beware!!! Do Not Buy All-Clad at Williams-Sonoma...
Read moreI used to like it here and purchased both a Dutch oven and ice cream maker. We had times in the past service was so-so, but it was mostly fine. Last week, though, we had a bad enough experience that I won’t return. We had some knives sharpened. The older woman who checked us out acted like it was an inconvenience to go get them. She lectured us on how we aren’t washing them properly. Up to that point, I figured oh well, she’s just the grumpy bossy type. Then she tried to charge us $15 for three. When I brought up that it clearly says he first knife is free on their webpage, she made some excuses but said she would give us the advertised price, since she’s a nice person (uh, thanks). Then she said “email?” When I said I’d prefer not to share it, she became angry, saying she had done me a favor, so I should share it. What a strange experience. I noticed the other, younger woman working there was very pleasant to the customers she helped. But after this experience, I’m done with Williams Sonoma. Next time I’ll go to a local place to sharpen my knives and buy...
