Worst experience I’ve had in any store, let alone Kay, in my entire life. Stopped into this store around 4pm on 10/6/24 and the old lady with grey hair was absolutely horrendous to deal with. Walked in shopping for wedding bands with my fiance and this lady literally had nothing positive to say. She told me we couldn’t get a ring resized, she made a negative comment about the ring my fiance was wearing, and pretty much told me that everything I was told when purchasing the ring at another different Kay was wrong in which I had already read the purchase agreement and contacted the sales woman from where I purchased it after this dreadful encounter and absolutely none of it was wrong. Clearly doesn’t know Kay Jeweler policies. After all was said and done, my fiance found a band that she’d liked so I was going to take a picture of the model number so we could look it up (I was way beyond my limit with this woman already, no way in h*ll would I ever purchase something from her) and I was told, “YOU CANT TAKE A PICTURE OF THE TAG!” and I told my fiance to grab her stuff and let’s go.
Kay Jewelers, I buy something almost every visit. I don’t walk into a Kay without having an idea of what I want. My fiance and I have spent nearly 10k in the past year alone on various items. This woman is atrocious and costed you a $2500+ sale. I will never return to this location.
Imagine walking into a Kay excited as can be with your fiance of just a few days to walk out 5 minutes later irritated and frustrated because of an...
Read moreJust recently got engaged and my fiancé went to Kay jewelers out of the Rochester area. He chose the chain knowing I'd be able to get it re-sized locally since we are in different areas currently. When I walked in, two associates looked at me and neither said a word.... after a couple of minutes wondering if either employee would greet me (they were both sitting behind different counters with zero customers), I approached a lady. I let her know I was needing to get my ring re-sized. She asked me what size I wanted.. "I have no idea" I replied, "isn't that what your here to help me figure out?" She seemed annoyed and rushed me through the process treating my 3k engagement ring like it was from the local county fair.. the entire process took about 5 minutes and I was unsure about the sizing, afraid it would be too small. After never receiving a call or email (as promised) that my ring had returned to the store, I called numerous times with no answer. I finally went in person and got my ring back. Same thing.. two associates (different ones this time), zero acknowledgement, both seemed annoyed that they had a customer and it was clear they hated their jobs. Oh, and my ring is too small.. so now I have to deal with them again to get it re-sized.. again.. I tried to find a local Kay with a better review and it seems they all have around 2.5 stars.. Perhaps a little employee training on customer service could...
Read moreI went in a few months ago to replace the chain on a necklace my boyfriend had bought for me - our dog had snapped the chain and stretched it considerably. The woman I spoke with told me their policy was to send it out for service and they couldn't just give me a new chain unless their service team decided that it was not repairable (even though I had gone in before to get a new chain on another necklace). A new chain would've been $50. I didn't want to send it out, so I left. My boyfriend called and spoke with them, and they told him the same thing - so I went in a week or so later to send it out for service. However, I spoke to a gentleman this time who said the chain was clearly not repairable and that he would give me a new chain for free.
ADDITIONALLY - I have been trying to call the store for the past 30 minutes and no one answers the phone! I eventually got tired of waiting and called their Customer Care phone number, and the woman I spoke with called the District Manager who said they are very short staffed at the moment and have new people - she apologized that no one...
