The Computer Guy — Local services in Town of Warwick

If I could give zero stars, I would. My first experience here was when I had a keyboard replaced. It cost over $200 dollars and when I got back my computer after 3 weeks (or more, i forget), the keyboard felt like a cheap knockoff of what I used to have that was not even installed properly. The keys stuck weird and didn't always click right, and I even had to finish popping the plastic around the keyboard back into my computer when I brought it home. Now, a few years later, I have TAUGHT MYSELF how to fix computers and iphones, and learned that the job I waited around 3 weeks for could be done with a youtube video, a few screwdrivers, and MAYBE an hour of time.

Recently, my mom called and asked if "The Computer Guy" could put some audio onto a CD (I have been away at school, so I could not help at first). He told her it would cost 200 DOLLARS TO DO THE JOB. I went out, bought a 10 pack of CDs for $10, and within 10 minutes I made her four copies of what she needed. I drove an hour home to give them to her.

Bottom line- I would never recommend this guy to anyone. I would LOVE to know what qualifications he has, if any, because I am a 19 year old girl with youtube and ebay, and I can order parts and fix products in a more timely manner and for better prices. I do this work on my college campus now for fellow students, because no one deserves to be ripped...

Had my first experience at The Computer Guy since they took over for the late Sagar. Both Kevin and Simon are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable, and very pleasant to work with. I brought my computer in for service, they quickly tended to it and had it back to me rapidly. I am grateful that they are able to carry on the tradition of excellent computer care right here in our village. I wish them all the best success and highly recommend them to everyone in our community.

8/26/23 - Adding to my previous review, The Computer Guys are great! When I needed my tower looked at in the Washingtonville store, they were short-handed but suggested the Goshen store which was very convenient to get to. Scott and Kevin did a thorough evaluation and returned the tower to me within a day and only charged me the initial diagnostic fee. The Computer Guys will always get...

I was in such a pickle when I walked into the store. I had a 500 page document that I have worked on for five years and I thought it was destroyed. Jon came in and saved the day and made sure everything was taken care of quickly and professionally and I never felt any concern for my document once he got involved.

He spent so much time with me explaining how he saved the document, where he stored it and he made sure I saved it to a thumb drive, onto my desktop and to my external drive so in essence I would never have this problem again. I am so grateful to have such professional services right here in Warwick. It felt so good to not have to go to a big box store and be overwhelmed and pushed aside and have no one to focus on your primary need. So I am completely grateful to Jon and his services and the professional caliber of the computer guy....
