Michaels — Local services in Tracy

My boyfriend & I went in the store looking for paint supplies & canvas. Which was easy to find after we spoke to a friendly associate. The area where the canvas is kept is at the back of the store & a partial isle plus the bigger canvas at the top of the shelves. As we were looking up to locate pricetags & sizes to find the best deal, we hadn't noticed what associates later called a "U-boat" sitting in the middle of isle. My boyfriend obviously didn't see it either because he slammed right into it. His arm tingled & began swelling immediately. We filed an incident report since he was hurt in the store & because better practices should b in place when dismantling the shelves. I would think, if long metal rods & metal pieces that hold the shelving are being installed or removed an associate should be near by. The area was not marked by a cone, caution or warning of any kind & a staff member had to be called over as there wasn't one in the area. The cart was wheeled off into the back, (no more than two isles away) after an associate was made aware of the problem. The laziness of the staff members is evident through out the store. Outdated sale tags for items whose sale had ended two days prior still hung from a few racks. And that was only in the paint section! They have to honor the advertised price so if your on the hunt for a great deal, head over to this store. However, please use caution while you shopping. For me, the sale items are not worth the pain & swelling. I won't be shopping at this store...

I had just gotten off of work and off of my commuter van pool and decided to stop at Michaels to take a look around and get some ideas for my wedding in November. As I am looking around I hear over the loud speaker "security cameras 1 and 2!" I did not pay it any attention at the time and suddenly a man comes to the aisle that I'm in as if he is a shopper like myself (still not paying it any attention). As I am walking out a few minutes later he is behind me, but does not leave the store. I hop in my truck and as I am am backing out of the parking space I see him looking my way and he went back into the store. I was very upset, because they thought I was stealing. I in no way gave anyone a reason to think i was stealing. I was being racially profiled and I know it. I could not get the whole ordeal out of my mind all night, so I decided to write this review, because it makes me sick...

I was not happy with today's online pickup. 😠 First, I go in the store to get a mega roll of htv, its regular home is out of stock, I go online to see if they have any and it says nothing on hand dang it!

Then I leave the store and get down the road I'm searching for what store has in stock "it says Tracy does, but I just left there and it was out hmm.. okay so I order it online and get there to pick it up and they give me a regular size roll not the Mega! "I'm glad I noticed it right away and not when I got home, because I'm sure they would not have believed me that they gave me the wrong item ".

Then I look at shelves by register and there is lots of Mega Rolls all colors WTH , why not stock the home shelf as well ?

If people are shopping for an item they always go to where they know it always is! Not going to go looking for it all...
