Good Morning! I would ask that this reach the salons/schools director. On January 3rd I entered the salon portion of your cosmetology school for a color retouch. I was there previously for a color retouch and was informed the last time that it was a decolonization at the time that I checked out and was surprised and caught off guardā¦.was not informed of this while they were doing my serviceā¦paid the price and walked out super confused because you all did my color so getting my roots that grew out less than an inch to match the color that you didā¦it didnāt make sense of why itāll be anything more than a retouch. This visit while getting a retouch, I asked more questions. The instructors who I believe were Ms. Benson and Msā¦.starts with a G advised me that itāll be a decolonization again because 1 they were looking at what they charged me for last time which I believe what they were heavily influenced by and because they had to ālighten my hairā to make it match my color. The young lady who did my hair was Julian, she was super nice and super personable my issue is strictly with the teaching and guidance from the instructors. If I got my hair color done at a professional salon, meaning not at your schoolā¦.and went back to the said salon for a color touch up, the hairdresser would match my roots to the color that they initially did. The instructor wrote a full paragraph on my client sheet about how I didnāt want lightener and I believe it gives off a false narrative. I wanted a color retouch, but was instructed that a color retouch did not come with lightener and a color retouch does not match my hair to the original color that they gave me at the salon. So my question is, when you do a clients color and they come back for a retouch, are they all leaving with mismatching color because you do not use lightener to match them back to the color that you previously did? That does not seem accurate to me. I hate that I was met with so much attitude and miseducated. I would love to speak to the director of the program about this matter to better understand the processes and procedures that the salon follows because as of now 1/4/23 I am still unsure and unsettled. The first photo is me at the salon with less than an inch of new growth and the car photo is the end result of my visit š¬ the very last photo is me on New Yearās Eveā¦a couple of days ago, it gives a better picture of just how little my color...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSorry to say but this beauty salon has to be the worst experience ever. Bad service, the service for my hair was a joke. The timing was ridiculous (they didnāt finish on time and just let me go home with half of my hair done) I left this salon with a headache from the stress. I did this for my birthday and was extremely sad for me I had a very important event and my self esteem was just so low. When I called for my money back they lie to me and just played games to donāt get my money back but thatās not even the problem the problem is that they didnāt do their job and made me be in horrible situation on my birthday I had and event that I planed for months and they knew it. I trust them and the result wasnāt good I wasnāt feeling my self and they just told me they couldnāt do more in my hair because the time was over and they had to close so my hair was half done. What kind of professional made an appointment for you and then in the middle of your service just tells you to leave because they have to close. When I called The staff were so unfriendly and rude and just saying lies to justify their mistakes. I would never return to this salon even if they offered me a free service . They are desperate for customers giving ābetter pricesā but is not worth it. Horrible experience ever if you really care about your hair go to a ethical...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust had the most AMAZING facial at Salon Professional Academy in Collegeville, and I had to share! My aesthetician, Siobhan, was an amazing. Her touch was so light and relaxing, I practically drifted off to sleep.
Siobhan's education Shines. She started by thoroughly analyzing my skin and recommending the perfect treatment for my needs. Plus, I opted for the vacuum pore extraction add-on, which was TOTALLY worth it ā my skin feels incredibly clean and refreshed!
A Few Things to Consider:
It's important to note that the academy has a large room for student aestheticians, with curtained partitions for each client. This might not be ideal for those seeking a super private experience. But hey, it's a learning environment, and easy access to instructors means the students get top-notch guidance while working on you!
The only downside for me was feeling a bit chilly during the facial. A blanket would've been perfect, but that's a minor detail. Next time, I'll just dress a little warmer.
Overall Experience: Fantastic!
This facial was absolutely fantastic, especially considering the incredible price ($25 for an hour of pampering?!). Siobhan's professionalism and the overall experience were top-notch. I'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend Salon Professional Academy for anyone looking for a high-quality,...
