Every time I walk into this store, I’m greeted with excitement and kindness. When I first walked into the Diptyque store at Somerset, I didn’t plan on asking for help or talking to anybody. I figured that I could find my way around the store and it would be like any other typical experience I’ve had when shopping for a fragrance. However, within my first few steps, I was so enthusiastically greeted by George!! He was so beyond knowledgeable about each fragrance, the story behind it, and its matching notes. He spent nearly an hour with me trying to find the perfect new scent to add to my collection. It was such an enjoyable experience and I couldn’t stop talking about it for the rest of the week to all of my friends and family!! Since then, I’ve been back a few times. I’ve only had the pleasure of meeting Ren and George, but there really is no other environment quite like this one where the staff genuinely love what they do, and so effortlessly spread that love to all of those who step foot in the store. Ren and George are truly incredible and I can’t say enough positive words about them!! This has become my favorite fragrance company EVER, and while it’s not cute for my bank account ope, I never leave regretting one dollar or minute spent...

I did not go in here to spend my money but instead accompanied my sister since we visited the Chicago store every time we visit Illinois. The staff was friendly and helpful, but George really went out of his way to describe his passion for the perfumes and candles. He was an excellent resource for my sister's particularly discerning nose and was happy to describe the layers and over and undertones to each fragrance. I was so impressed with his ability to layer scents and his technical expertise, I felt like I was meeting a wine sommelier. In the end, I ended up purchasing L'eau Papier as a summer scent. I did not go as far as layering it but has indeed made my summer memorable. George throughout the process was absolutely splendid and we did not feel any pressure to buy, but still did anyway, as a testament to his professionalism. The sales associate Renier truly made this experience amazing for me. She is such a beautiful person inside and out. She made me feel so appreciated as a customer and also as a fragrance lover. She was promptly greeting everyone who walked in the store while also giving me her full attention. You can tell she really goes the extra mile to make customers feel comfortable and confident in the product they choose to purchase. She spent an entire hour with me yesterday and let me take my time to smell everything and ask her questions, which she answered perfectly. I told her that this is her calling!!!!
