Tahoe Signature Properties — Local services in Truckee

We've booked an amazing house through Tahoe Signature Properties this winter. This rental is one that we'd love to come back to again and again. As a party of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids) + a small dog, we spent 4 nights in this property for the New Yea's. Upon arrival we were impressed with the house and the views. Located at the top of a hill the house is almost all windows, patios and porches - wherever you look, you see an amazing view. The inside of the house felt like a brand new house: light wood panels on the ceilings and walls, cathedral ceilings, new furniture, clean carpet, big TV with Netflix, Roku and Amazon. There is a loft with 3 twin beds off the main living area. The loft has its own bathroom with a walk in shower. There is a bedroom suite on the main floor. Its bathroom has double vanities and a huge walk in shower. There is an office room and a guest bathroom on the main floor as well. The ground floor has 2 more bedrooms and a bathroom. Did I mention that almost every single room in this house has a slide door and a porch with direct access outdoor?! But what turned out to be the most pleasant surprise was the backyard. Being the last row of houses has the advantages of an unlimited backyard. We'd step right off the back porch and walk into "wilderness". You go up for about 200 feet (the backyard is pretty steep) and you get to a hiking trail with breathtaking views. Having 5 kids under the age of 10 we've adapted a portion of that trail to a sledding area - tons of fun for the kids and adults as well. Being able to just dress the kids and walk 2 minutes to the sledding, have fun there as long as they wanted and return to a warm beautiful house within 2 minutes is a bonus that any parent of young kids understands.

We will definitely book our next vacation house in Tahoe with Tahoe...

We rented the "Schaffer's Mill Vacation Lodge with Golf Access". Schaffer's Mill is a beautiful complex with a lovely golf course and golf clubhouse that includes a pool for adults/kids, changing rooms etc. within the clubhouse. Unfortunately, while you can get access to the golf course (must contact TSP in advance to set this up and extra costs incurred) you cannot access any of the other amenities. This may not be important to you, but as a family with two young kids, there was a lot of disappointment about being 20+ minutes away from any swimming options in the June heat. We tried to contact TSP to remedy this, but were told there was no solution and our fault for assuming that golf access meant access to golf clubhouse (along with activities listed that included "swimming" for the property). It does appear that they have made the lack of included amenities more clear on the listing now, so for that I am grateful to have improved the experience for any future families looking for a good summer spot for kids -- would look elsewhere.

The house itself is decently maintained, kitchen is well stocked for a rental (no basics like sugar, butter, oil etc.), the beds were comfortable, ample space. The layout is a little weird with two bedrooms on ground floor and the master off the kitchen. Although the house backs up to the golf course, there is no access to the course from the house (except through bushes) so there was very little outdoor space for kids to run around. We had an issue with the front door that TSP...

We booked the Tahoe Alpine Hot Tub Hideaway and it was beautiful, nestled into the serene forest just north of Kingsbury Beach. The home was as described with all the amenities including the awesome hot tub which is one of the main reasons I booked this home.

Aside from the beautiful home and great location the communication I received from Genesis was second to none, her genuine ability to work alongside me to find the perfect getaway was amazing!

When you rent from Tahoe Signature Properties you feel like a member of a community, that alone would have me choose them over any other 3rd party "broker". Oh and it's actually cheaper to book directly with them.
