Awful customer service.

I had a boot fitting appointment 2 weeks ago and I was turned away at the door since they forgot that I had an appointment. After laughing about forgetting my appointment John made me wait for 2 hours before I was seen. Again, this was NOT a walk in.

1 party was seen before me even though they entered the store 45 minutes after me. John‘s excuse was because it was “store policy“ since these folks had bought skiis from the shop the day before. It is a terrible store policy to treat certain customers better than others for the sole purpose of how much profit was made on one customer over the other. When I confronted John about this, he proceeded to laugh it off and say that “it totally wasn’t because the other customers gave him a $100 tip”.

After a party cut me, I was made aware that I was not being helped right away because there were more “urgent projects” that needed to be made by an 8 AM deadline that was the next day. When confronted about this, I was gaslit by John when he told me that “I am putting off urgent projects for you”, regardless of the fact that I had an appointment with him 2 hours prior.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had, and I definitely will not be coming...

Have been coming to this place for years and it has really gone down hill service wise. This year I did a season ski rental for my kids and during the fitting my son complained one of the boots felt too tight. The tech said “don’t worry that’s normal it will stretch out”. Unfortunately after skiing with them one day we measured then and one of the boots was a smaller size. They were mismarked. To add insult we tried to return them 12/24 Christmas Eve. Called multiple times first to make sure the were open but got a busy signal. Checked their website and it clearly stated they would be open until 6pm on Xmas eve. Drove all the way out there and found a driveway full of other angry customers and a closed shop. It’s now Sunday and the phone is still busy. We missed two days of skiing and counting which will cost us more that the rental of those skis. Will never shop here again they do not care about their customers and they do not pay attention to important details when they...

I have been buying boots, skis, and stylish ski and mountain lifestyle clothing at Granite Chief since 1987. Herb and Treas take care of their customers and provide excellent service. I have had boots fitted by Gunner Wolf and the team over the past 30 years. Having a Master Boot Fitter for my challenging feet when fitting ski boots is very important to me. The entire team of boot fitters is excellent including Darren, John, and Matt. Darren took care of a my friend Neil's daughter Christmas 2022 when she was having terrible pain from the new ski boots that she had purchased in Seattle. I told them to go to Granite Chief and they would be taken care of. Darron made here laugh and he fixed the boot issues. The store is beautiful and well stocked with gear and clothing, and Ansel the Golden Retriever might greet you...
