At Home — Local services in Trussville

Tried to order online using a gift card. The site does not accept gift cards so I called the local store in Trussville. They took my info (email, phone, address) but I didn't hear back regarding my order - no confirmation, nothing. Had to call again and the person seemed annoyed that I was inquiring about my order. It was a hassle trying to get anyone to communicate with me regarding my order. Of the two individuals I spoke with, neither seemed to know what was going on. When I asked when I can expect my order to be delivered ($10 delivery fee!) she acted like this was an inconvenience. I've never had so much trouble getting simple info on an order before. At Home needs to be more professional across the board, from training associates better to using a different (professional) delivery service. I had the exact same experience last year on an order and things have not improved since then. The in store experience isn't any better. A whole lot of stuff, much of it overpriced junk. It's overwhelming and the associates have never been friendly, hence my shopping online. I gave away my gift cards to someone who doesn't mind going to the store because I don't intend to shop...

So I've been in this store on multiple occasions and each time I've found some secret treasures. They have amazingly good deals on out of season decor. I got my giant Jack Skellington to wrap around my Nightmare Before Christmas Tree and some cute Halloween inspired ornaments. They've also got a great selection on all types of interior decor. Amazing selection of fair priced canvas prints. This will always be one of my go to places...

I really enjoyed my visit to the store but it was just not what I expected, something was missing. I was expecting more variety but I saw a lot of the same thing in multiple shapes and colors as far as furniture, pillows, and paintings. It would be great if there was a better variety of products. I do appreciate the friendliness of the employees and their willingness to help you find whatever it was...
