Ren Udall is the real deal. She's a true Jedi Master of functional, healing movement. Since I started taking Pilates and Gyrotonic classes almost 2 years ago, I now live essentially symptom-free after nearly 30 years of chronic sciatic pain that frequently kept me awake at night.

​I also suffered from periodic acute low back pain due to sacroiliac hyper-mobility; I haven't had a single episode since working with Ren. Her classes also keep my knee pain at bay, which has helped me avoid meniscus surgery. I reliably walk out of class freer, taller, and more seated within myself.

In addition to these priceless ongoing results, at age 53, I now feel stronger and more resilient than I did in my 30s.

As a former bodyworker and somatic educator myself, as well as a long-time Iyengar Yoga devotee, I judge Ren to be an exceptionally gifted master teacher and a true improv artist. Picture 'Iron Chef', but way more grounded (and with better outfits).

​She's a heart-centered anatomy 'nerd' with a keen, deep, and insightful knowledge of how the body works, as well as the body-brain connection. With brilliant intuition, she can 'read' my body in a split-second, and effortlessly deliver a pitch-perfect session that meets me where I am that day.

And, amazingly, this happens in a class full of other students, each with their own unique needs. And yet we all get attended to, splendidly and exactingly.

Ren is truly a rare gem in the world of movement educators. Because, in addition to what I've said above, she's also incredibly warm, welcoming, generous, funny, authentic, and fully present.
