Proceeded to this emporium with the notion of finding the PERFECT Mother's Day card for the mom-in-law; that is a sufficiently specific requirement to need Hallmark (to the rescue!). The nice young lady immediately accosted me(not really) and determined from the bemused expression that I had no idea what I was doing there. Actually, she did interview me with the intention of discovering my intent and ushered me over to the appropriate area of the AMAZINGLY replete establishment. Upon eventually picking the PERFECT card, I proceeded to the checkout area; during said checkout the same nice lady informed me of the various advantages of becoming a Hallmark Gold Crown Member(their free rewards program). I came in with my boys to find stuff for my wife’s birthday but two older ladies that worked there turned me off. One with an annoying voice followed me around or seemed to be at every corner telling me about stuff I’m trying to look at and wouldn’t leave me alone. I’m trying to have an experience with my boys to pick out presents or cards for mom but being followed took away the fun. She was distracting. The other older lady with glasses was rude to one of the girls working there in front of customers. I just left and found cards at the hallmark across the street and found gifts elsewhere. I don’t know if it’s their version of great customer service but it was overbearing. I am not a thief nor am I incompetent on knowing what to buy my wife. Seriously ladies back off!
