BAD, BAD, BAD!!! I was at this location on Sunday 11/27/11(during the weekend of Black Friday). Planning on dropping a chunk of my hard earned money for the Holidays. There were no door buster discounts to be found, so the hunt began to find discount red tags and clearance end-caps. In the process of looking through Duvet Covers(yes, I walked away from football to shop for duvet covers!!!), I noticed some packages had been opened and "repackaged." That repackaging provided a discount because the covers were all balled up. The cover I liked most was crushed back into the packaging, but did NOT have the "repackage" pricing on it's tag. I asked to see a Manager in the bedding department and the guy was very helpful. He said he would go upfront and come back to me with a price. I told him to meet me in the pots and pans because my wife also wanted a saute' pan. As I was looking through the pans, a new and more officious Manager asked from the end of the aisle..."are you the guy looking for a discount on the Duvet?" I replied yes and she said, "well, I don't know what you are talking about. There is no such thing as repackage pricing. We don't just go through the store and discount items!" I said, "I think you do. Let me show you." Picking up my child, I walked the Manager to the duvets and pointed out the 3 to 4 items that had a red tag marked "repackaged." She insisted that she had a team of employees that could re-wrap the cover I wanted and sell it at full price. At which point, I mentioned how they failed in several other instances. So she hands me one of the Duvet covers from the shelf that was not unpacked already. I say to her, "I was trying to get a discount." Her response in a very sarcastic and accusitory tone was " I KNOW what you are trying to do!!!" As my temper began to swell, i took a breath. If my child wasn't with me, I would have shared a few choice words with this woman that I believe is the Store Manager. I took the Duvet cover from her and and did her a favor. I put it back on the shelf, where I hope it remains until this location closes it's doors. I bought nothing that day, but went to Target with the intention of spending a tidy sum for my wife on Christmas. Never again. I can't shop at WalMart in good conscience either. It may be a little more difficult, but I implore each and every consumer to spend this and all future Holiday seasons buying local where you will be supporting a neighbor that will truly appreciate your patronage and treat you with the respect...
Read moreThis used to be my go to Target, I was a frequent customer. I won't be returning after my last visit this night.
I was essentially followed and chased out by two staff members as the store was closing like a dog. I acknowledge the time frame this was occurring, however, there were other customers present in the store at the same time as me, and were shown much more respect and courtesy. I had intended to make a quick stop for an essential I could only find at Target. However, my explanation as to why I was there doesn't excuse the treatment I was subjected to, and that goes for anyone who shops here.
I had encountered two staff members and said "hello!", to which they coldly replied "Are you going up right now?", I said yes as soon as I grabbed what I needed very quickly. Well, that never happened because soon after, the woman staff member began to follow my every move. I also happen to use a mobility cart due to chronic pain, so imagine being followed while being on one of those.
At the same time, a man was literally directing me to go certain ways, all while the woman was tailing behind me. It got to a point where I just turned around and asked point blank "Do we happen to be going in the same direction, or are you following me?" All the woman said coldly and aggressively was "I just need you to get out." All while inching closer and closer with the man behind her. This continued until I finally reached the entrance on the grocery side, which happened to be locked.
Again, I use the mobility cart for chronic pain, and they corralled me to a locked entrance. Despite my being in pain, I was essentially forced to walk all the way to the other side of the building just to leave...all while being in a lot of pain and making my ability to walk hard!!
This kind of treatment is disgraceful to anyone, but especially those who use mobility aids. I understand that the store closes at a specific time, and customers are encouraged to follow suit. However, being harassed and chased out like how I was is inexcusable. I'm fortunate enough to have been able to walk out, but imagine if it were someone who required more assistance? Just awful.
I imagine this also has to do with Target Corp. rescinding their commitment to their DEI policy. Since I've learned of this update, plus the mistreatment I've endured, Target has forever lost my money. Do better, be better, this is unacceptable from the top all the way...
Read moreContinued frustration with marked and advertised sales that don't show up at the register or wallet. This was the worst Target visit I have had, which culminated increasingly frustrating visits. At a store with 19 registers, only one was open and it had a long line. I chose self check out because I was approached by a very kind and helpful employee. Holly said she was there to help with any issues that might come up. Unfortunately the issues I was experiencing were being experienced by every other self check out customer. Sales that were advertised in the paper ad (checked by Holly at the register) were not ringing up. Prices were incorrect. Wallet coupons were not applied. The women at the register next to me had taken pictures of sale prices while she was shopping and was experiencing the same false ring ups. All four self check out registers were unable to complete their transactions without Holly's intervention. By this time the line at self checkout had grown quite long. A manager, Andrea, was directing the waiting customers to the single cashier at guest services. Holly was no longer able to help me, although she had fixed as many errors as she could. She remained calm, cheerful, and professional throughout the transaction. When I brought the situation to the attention of Andrea, she remarked, "This is what happens when people call out" and then walked away. I made my way over to wait in the long guest services line for a refund of the $10 overcharge that could not be rectified at self check out. At no time did management demonstrate care for the customers needs or move in such a way to rectify the problem. Nor did she offer help or guidance to Holly, her employee. This will likely be my last visit to Target. The continued hassle with prices and under staffing make it an...
