I've always had a hard time letting other people cut my hair. My friends and Husband basically have done it for me In the past. I have been growing my hair out lately and I have a shaved side on the right. It had grown about 3 inches because I had no one to cut it and I just wasn't trusting of anyone else shaving getting the line right let alone cutting my hair perfect. I went to Tucson Hair last week asking how much it would cost to have to the side fixed up and they said $20- (Normal cost of women's haircut) - and I said no thank's thinking it was too much for one small section. Buttt after that 3 days or so-Then my Man and Son went to anothef shop in the area and they did not do what he asked. It was okay but one side was off. I called another shop nearby and they said to do my hair it would be $25 bucks! Plus they weren't friendly on the phone it was like I was bugging them asking the price. Now, after a week of entering Tucson Hair, I checked online doing my best to find Tucson Hair Co. Because I couldn't remember the name honestly.... However I went onto Google Maps (Contribute) and looked up all the 3 shops nearby and found that Tucson Hair Co. has not only a 5 star rating but the customer's who left ratings were so thankful and happy saying that this place actually has staff that listen's to your concerns and care's about the work they do! All the comments were so positive, saying the they got the results they wanted and how amazingly talented THE STAFF TRULY ARE! Even with children I read all positive. Then I compared the ratings and reviews to ALL the other 3 shops literally at the corner, and Tucson Hair Co. was the only one 5 stars and literally the reviews were nothing but positive and read satisfaction. So I decided to take a chance on this place and I am so glad I did! I walked in shortly after 9 a.m. yesterday and saw Shelia. I had walked from my place to the shopping center as I was still trying to figure out what the heck I wanted done. I knew.that I wanted the 3 inches of hair in my side shaved to a 2 or 1. As I walked in I just started to explain I came in last week for price quotes but I've read nothing but positive about this place so I'm giving it a chance. Eric was there I saw him but haven't had the pleasure yet. Shelia was the first to walk up(I only saw her at first) but I just started going off about being a little afraid because my lines kinda gone up more than I wanted but she heard me. She listened to me and seriously was so awesome. I told her I know nothing about hair and that I've been growing my natural color (dirt ugly blonde) because my dyed hair is at the tips now mainly. She took a look as I showed her how my bangs have been breaking off because it gets stuck on my e cig bands or just knots up at the end and I rub my hand through and it just pulls out. She immediately knew that I didn't wanna cut off all this long hair I grew she was empathetic about it. But she took a #2 to my side and we talked about my hair what I may want what I can get for the future and she showed me that my natural hair was growing in and that the color treated hair at the ends was causing issues with breakage. I asked her at first to do it a certain way but trusted her hand and she layered my long hair too! I love it! I'm so satisfied with these layers and she gave me a side bang to help with my hair breaking. Asked me what I used to shampoo and advised against almost all the shampoos I have (lol) and gave me a lot of good advice. She did perfect on my hair. When we were done I loved it got to run my hands through it and it wasn't as tangled. We're gonna try this idea next time(one month till I go back) to have it go shorter from behind to longer in the front. Best haircut experience at a shop I've honestly ever had. The staff care's after I paid and tipped she came up and handed me a bottle of hair oil free to help my tips still. I am 100% satisfied. They are clean...
Read moreI went in asking for a mint green color. I let the stylist know I had box color from a year ago and wondering if it was possible. She looked at my hair and told me yes and I made the appointment. Came in for my appointment she didnât have the color and had to go to the store. Then said they didnât have the color so I had to pick another one. So I change to aqua. She brought that color over. She began bleaching my hair. At one point the hair started to get to hot. To the point I was sweating. (She over processed my hair giving me a chemical hair cut) then told me she canât do aqua cause there was still orange tones. So I said fine purple. She stated your hair has to be white to do purple. (Talked to 6 other stylist after and this isnât true) she than convinced me to do red and I asked it not to be Ariel red. Well guess what itâs Ariel red. Then she stated she was going to give me a bit more layers because some of my hair was fried. So I agreed as long as I kept my lengthy and it didnât look choppy. So now I have Ariel red hair!!! The righ side looks like a mullet and the left is fine. People keep telling me the back is a layer than goes straight and not blended. The right side is the same..... I asked for her to fix it and now sheâs ignoring me. I have been crying about my hair for 2 days now. I lost so much length... my hair is trashed and they wonât fix it.... my hair look nasty and Iâm unhappy... please donât go here. I should have never went in.... I wish I can post pictures on...
Read moreI think itâs only fair to share pictures of my experience so future customers can make informed decisions about whether or not this salon is right for them. I saw Holly who was very friendly and accommodating! I showed her the inspo pic and she said yes she could do it, and I would be charged as a balayage. It looked great in the salon lighting but as soon as I got outside I knew something was off. The highlights are very stripey and not blended or artfully placed like the photo I provided. They were accommodating and let me come back in the next day for a correction (which I ended up having to pay for out of pocket - $45) and toned the highlights so they were more subtle. Overall I feel like I should have received the correction free of charge, especially because I paid $255 for something completely different than what I asked for (But iâm not a karen and never wouldâve asked, it just wouldâve made sense if it were offered) Other than that customer service was great and the ladies were nice. I just wouldnât recommend them for a balayage or any of the more modern color jobs. Photos: Inspiration picture What I left with the first day What I left with the second day after...
