We have had La Baguette rolls as a part of our family gatherings for many years. They are soft, light, have the right amount of chew, and always taste top tier. These rolls show up at our barbecues, Italian feasts, and of course the holidays. You can make a sandwich with them, eat it with butter, or do what all the kids in my family do… rapid fire as many as possible into your mouth as soon as you see them! Because my dad has always brought these rolls to our gatherings, they are lovingly referred to as “grandpa buns.”
My elderly dad was in charge of bringing the grandpa buns to Thanksgiving this year. He ordered in advance, but forgot to pick them up on the right day. He also failed to answer the phone when the bakery called to ask if he was still wanting his order. When they couldn’t get a hold of him, they sold the rolls to someone else. There were no grandpa buns ready for us when he went to pick up the order the day before Thanksgiving.
I am guessing the day before Thanksgiving is the busiest day of the year at La Baguette. Despite how busy they were and the fact that this mix up was 100% our fault, they offered to make a batch of rolls for us at the end of the day. The rolls were amazing, as always, and everyone lit up the second the grandpa buns came out on Thanksgiving.
It meant so much to me that you all went out of your way to make us the order. I cannot say enough wonderful things about your bakery. Thank you so much for being a part of our family gatherings and...
Read moreI passed by this place many times while visiting Sprouts. It always smelled so good and one day my son and I decided to go in because he wanted a cinnamon roll. This was the first and last time I will go here. We approached the counter and waited patiently as employees were helping other customers to wait our turn. All of a sudden a customer just cuts in front of us and an employee meets them at the register and starts ringing them up. Not a WORD. Not an apology. Not an "Oh excuse me, I'm going to ring this customer up and someone will be right with you." I would have expected rudeness from a customer, but to be completely ignored by the employee was bad. It was like we were invisible. We finally caught the attention of someone working there, ordered the cinnamon toll, and got the heck out of there. Based upon the customer service alone, I had already decided I wouldn't be back. When my son bit into the cinnamon roll, it was dry and didn't have much frosting. He ate maybe 2 bites and we threw the rest away. Money wasted. (By the way, my son orders cinnamon rolls everywhere, so he knows what is good and...
Read moreHave been looking all over Tucson for a great place for Eclairs. Called this place and inquired about their exclairs they told me they use whipped cream on top of some Bavarian cream. Well I ordered multiple and received what I would call a lack luster attempt at an Eclair. It was not an eclair, it was eclair like. I was two seperate pieces of donut filled with 99% whipping cream and 1% what they may call Bavarian cream, but far from it. This is the classic case of over charging people for a product and using the cheapest ingredients to make a quick $. What a total disappointment, if you're going to sell eclairs at least sell them accurately. $5 a piece for a big of pile of whipped cream, I threw the rest away. I'll keep looking for an awesome one, but this one completely sucked. Save your money and go somewhere else. I can't say much for the other stuff they make there but as far as the eclairs go, they are diagusting! Total disappointment if I could give this place 0 stars I would. ...
