Jiffy Lube — Local services in Tupelo

Jiffy Lube sent a man out and made things right, I appreciate his professionalism and the company’s quick response. Rating has been adjusted just can’t give 5⭐️base on previous experience. Hopefully the appropriate internal adjustments and training will improve the coustomer experience moving forward.

For context I have been referring this location (East Main St, Tupelo) to everyone I know and work with for years. However this past holiday I brought my truck in for a full service and to get a tire checked. The person who first came out said they were short staffed and could not service the tire. I asked if they could check where it was leaking and I would bring it back later to have it serviced. He told me that it was no problem they would take a look. As I waited inside he returned to inform me I had a few miles before it was showing due a service and asked if I wanted to have it done anyway and I said yes. It seemed to me that I was an inconvenience for them and was being rushed to leave. Moments later the person behind the counter informed me I was good to go, and how fortunate I was that there were so many available to jump on my vehicle and it be done so fast while I was under the assumption they were short staffed. . I asked about the tire as they were driving it out of the shop. He said they added just a few pounds to it and it was not low, I explained how I had just aired it up before coming there. I told him I thought you were short staffed…. I would just bring it back later. Fast forward to today, I pull up and the same employee walked out and I asked again if they would inspect the tire for the cause of the leak and after 2 seconds of rubbing the top of the tire he said they couldn’t do anything and the alignment was something…. I never knew the alignment could be checked by simply rubbing the tire. Afterwards the employee returned inside, was greater with smiles and a high five, assuming because with an empty shop they could continue to be idle. I will never return to this location and will possibly be looking for another service center for future work for all of my 7 vehicles, and work trucks. I will not be recommending this location to anyone else either personally or work.

They service here is amazing. My girlfriend and I were on out way down to Florida, when the engine started knocking, and the check engine light came on. We got a tow to the Havoline a little north-ways, but the owner said the mechanic at his location would not be available until the next day. So he checked with this location to confirm that a mechanic would in the store. When we got there we were greeted by Chad, the on site mechanic, who brought the car into the shop and asked what the problem was. He found a problem with spark plugs and replaced to perform a better diagnostic. After a little over three hours of waiting, he finished the test, but unfortunately one of the pistons was not compressing, so there was nothing he could do. In the end he only charged us for the spark plug replacement and one of the many diagnostics. Then, he allowed us to keep it on their lot until we could get someone down to tow it home. I’ve used Jiffy Lube for years on all 3 of my family vehicles and I have never had a single issue. I went into Jiffy Lube for an oil change in July of this year but I few days later I had to return because my truck was indicating low coolant. Confused I went back to jiffy lube and asked if they could check for leaks or weak hoses and they reported nothing and refilled my coolant but the problem never stopped! I took it to the dealership and was told that my coolant reservoir was damaged. So I returned to jiffy lube because they are the ONLY people I allow to be under my hood. The manager lady I think Michelle said she REPLACE my coolant reservoir but didn’t! I was driving my truck today and got the low coolant indicator again so I bought and put my own coolant in just to watch it run out the side of my reservoir onto the ground beneath! I’m beyond disappointed because I trusted them but the apparently didn’t care to buy a new reservoir but instead glue or mend the one they damaged and call me to say they...
