Visited Dick’s SG at Tustin Market Place this morning on 07/17/19 and I’m never going back again!! I went in to buy some exercise and competitive swimming items that I’ve been wanting. I’ve been shopping with Dick’s SG for years now and I even have their store card. Today, I asked an associate (Julia) to help me with my purchase. She was very friendly and patient with me. She went above and beyond to help me grab my items. During my visit at this location, I noticed a pair of Nike shorts on the mannequin there. I asked the associate and she told me that was the last pair in that color and they didn’t have any more of those. She tried looking up the product online and she said that they were sold out online as well. However she said that she’d be able to take them off of the mannequin, if I really wanted them. She grabbed me a pair of black ones of the same shorts in large to make sure that it was the right size for me. All the shorts in that section were marked for 35 dollars and both associates insured me that they all were the same model with the same price including those on the mannequin. I ended up deciding to take them after waiting for a while and helping both of the associates (Julia and Rose) to physically get them off the mannequin. They, again, insured me that they were the same price, as I wasn’t able to see the tags since the shorts were on the mannequin. After a while we finally got them off and I go to check out with cashier (Jonathan). At the end of my transaction he told me that they were for 80 dollars which is more than twice the price I was told. He openly seemed very annoyed with me complaining about the inconsistency of the knowledge of products between the associated and he got his manager involved per my request. Manager (Ryan) was extremely unfriendly and unprofessional. While admitting that it was the store’s mistake and they’d wasted 45 minutes of my time, he made no effort to address the problem. He left it up to his cashier to help me and walked away. He didn’t follow up with what i was initially told which resulted in me having to leave the items that i really wanted there. As I am doing this survey, I am on the phone to cancel my card with this store and I’d never go back to this unprofessional environment again. Dick’s SG needs to reorient his managers and put them through basic customer service training again. Playing professional college sports, my teammates and I come to this location a lot. But that is going to stop now and...
Read moreI'm not one to post reviews or comment on experience, but tonight, something the closing lady said triggered me. I don't normally shop at physical stores, but I was getting something from this store tonight, as the same item I ordered online was not going to get here on time for when I needed it. I get that they were trying to kick people out right at 9pm. I get that they were just trying to go home as well. The employee lady(older, and looks like shes been in the sun too long without wearing any sunscreen) at the sliding doors had very bad RBF and had something smart to say to all the parties coming into the store. Imagine coming into a store and greeted with some smart a$$ remark to make you feel bad that you're there. I was paying for my items as a gentleman was walking in. He had a mask on, jacket, and scrub pants. I'm assuming he was either a nurse or doctor just getting home from a 12-hour shift seeing that he was wearing scrub pants and the time of night. The lady at the doors told him that they were closing in 10 minutes and that he needed to know exactly what he wanted to get and could not browse. He said he knew what he needed to get in footwear. So she radios to footwear saying a gentleman was coming to the section and was getting an exact item. Cool. I would have just left it at that. It was what she said on the radio to the entire team that triggered me. She said, "He had all day to come in to the store and he chooses to come minutes before we close." I heard this and I was livid inside. (I work night shift in a hospital) Day shift nurses work 12 hours, 7am-7:30pm. That does not give them much time to run errands after work. They may have a commute, need to get something to eat, need to change out of dirty scrubs, etc. Retail is hard, I get it, I used to work retail. But being as bitter as this lady was, it's hard to not have any empathy for her. You're getting paid to be there as a customer service representative for your store. Now, you have this negative review, which I hope many will read. Please, know that karma may catch up with you and you may need his help, or the help of a first responder. Imagine they treated you the way you treated him. "It's the end of my shift, you had better know what ailment you have." Food...
Read moreI usually go to the one in Mission Viejo or Laguna hills. On Sunday, We decided to try this location since we were in our way back home to south OC and my son needed some equipment stuff for football season starting on Monday. Everything was fine until was time to pay, this employee cashed me out and when I looked at the receipt I say an amount that caught my attention but I still pay for it which was $380 and some Change. I thought myself this is a little high so I stopped on my way out and looked at the receipt and I saw a double charge of one item, I came back and talk to the same cashier an out it and he didn’t even apologize to me or anything and he said let’s go to the other cashier to refund your money, which I said ok it fine. Then when I was at the other register getting my money back I pulled all the purchased items out of the bag and star looking piece by piece and comparing this with my original receipt, well I’m glad I did that, I found 3 items getting double charge on the same receipt which was the amount of close to $160. So I said what is going on over here, I asked the cashier and just smile to me and didn’t even say sorry or apologize for it. He gave my my money back and said I need a signature here which I didn’t sign because I was very upset about the whole situation, stealing money from customers? I’m my way out a laddie was just standing at the door so I said are you the manager? She said yes how can I help you! I gave her a brief description about the whole situation and she said ohhh I’m sorry and keep talking to her employees since they were closing the sores at that time. To me this action was very disrespectful to me and my family , unprofessional the way they treat their customers, lack of training on how to handle situations like this specially from management, and definetly not trusting this location at all because if they did this to me, how many more customers go thru this and they don't even realize that they are getting double charging customers and people trusting this kind of employees? A very unhappy customer with this location. I will never go back to this...
