So let me tell you about Studio Wish and Mackenzie and all the Wish Chics. I have been with this salon since 2002. It just keeps getting better and better. Mackenzie is so laid back and so amazing at what she does, I always look forward to being in her chair and have full confidence in her abilities to cut my short, thin, precise hair. Her color work is just as awesome and she will take as much time as you both need to figure out what it is you want. (I am not exaggerating that I get compliments on my hair EVERYWHERE I GO). When COVID happened, I was 6 days away from my appointment and it was already getting too long for me. Let me tell you that Mackenzie cuts my hair so amazingly that it looked awesome at every awkward quarantine stage it went through as it grew in. I almost didnāt want to go get my haircut just yet when the salon reopened. ALMOST. That brings me to now. Studio Wish called ME to get me scheduled as soon as they knew when they would be opening. Instead of opening the first day they could, Rowena and her crew stayed closed and did run throughs of how they were going to work with their new mandates and safety measures to ensure they were ready for their clients. Rowena thought of EVERYTHING! New air filtration, masks for her stylists, hand sanitizing stations, making sure you have only one person working with you from the time you walk in till the time you leave, specialized markings on the floor to make sure you are the safe 6 feet away from anyone, rearranging where her stylists work from to ensure safe social distancing, sanitizing everything CONSTANTLY to make sure no surface goes for more than a few minutes, seconds even, after being used by a client or employee, etc., etc. I could go on and on. Itās making me tear up just writing this. I feel safer at Studio Wish than in my OWN CAR! Mackenzie, you are amazing and you are rolling with everything with such grace and ease, as is every single person working at Studio Wish, and Rowena, you have thought of everything and then some and I am proud to be a client of Mackenzie and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMet Rowena when she opened her first Ohio salon in Streetsboro a decade ago. A stylist myself, she made a real impression on me. At age 40, I'd been asked to be a bridesmaid in both of my younger sisters' weddings.
She does amazing transitions! The highlights and updo were soooo incredible, family members said they didn't recognize me, that I looked like a runway model! (If you're 40, and asked to be a bridesmaid, that's exactly what you want - to be unrecognizable in a good way.)
Recently I wanted my hair done to attend a wedding. Rowena gave me a haircut and highlights. I got a hand and arm massage from another stylist while my foils processed. A scalp massage after the color was rinsed out. A hot towel on my face and neck while the toner was on at the shampoo bowl. Then another scalp massage after the toner was rinsed out.
At 50, I have never had a spa experience, this appears close, I am going to tell you, I enjoyed it and recommend it! These stylists are the real deal. When I left, people were spinning around to look at me on the way to my car, and in and out of the store that I stopped in - no kidding....
Rowena gets it - because she listens very carefully to your vision, then meets your expectations times two! To be a good listener and a good stylist is rare in our business. Soooo if you want to leave looking as you've anticipated, go see Rowena at Studio Wish! You will never leave disappointed...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot sure what was going on at Studio Wish (April 24, 2025) between 3-3:30 pm, but when i walked through the door (ringing the bells) the front of the salon seemed to have no lights on and the entire place was very quiet. Yes, they were open. I couldnt see if there were any customers in the back. There were two young ladies (with their backs to me) sitting at the long counter to the right of the door talking to someone on their laptop. I waited about a minute and neither of the ladies turned around and welcomed me. There was another young lady at the end of the long hallway towards the back who also did not greet me. I guess the salon made tons of money that day, so didnt need my business? Maybe they can't be bothered with an elderly person? I just wanted to know if they accept walk-ins and if i could get a cut. I'll never know because I left and most certainly will NEVER go back. šš” But they probably...
