Awful, awful food.
We normally go to Thai Gourmet on Graham and Darrow, and absolutely love it. We thought we would try something new, and were nearby, so we stopped here instead.
Let's start with the positives: friendly service, so-so decor, acceptable appetizers.
After the appetizers, we still had our hopes up. But as soon as the server set down the plate of Pad Thai in front of me, this terrible smell hit my nose. I waited for my girlfriend to try her Ginger Chicken dish. After one bite she had this disgusted look on her face, and said "This is horrible!" I thought she was joking, there was no way it was that bad, but as I put my fork into the Pad Thai, it was like scooping up a clump of slime. I took a bite of it and got completely disgusted. It did not taste anything like Pad Thai - just bland, nasty slime. I could only force down a few bites.
She thinks the Ginger Chicken was bought ready-made and just microwaved, and I have to agree, it had the taste of frozen food. It was still better than mine (which is not saying much), so after she had a few bites, I had some of hers. She really wanted to say something to the staff, but we held back. We quickly boxed it up, paid the bill and left. We've never thrown out leftovers before, but there's a first for everything.
They have to know how bad the food is, yet they serve it to you with a smile. If this was a cheap $5 all-you-can-eat buffet, I could understand it being this bad.
Save yourself the money and drive down Darrow Rd to Pad Thai. Or even better, go further south down Darrow Rd to Thai Gourmet, which easily has the best food, service, and decor...
Read moreVisited here for lunch again after 4 years. I vaguely remember the first time, so I thought we should try it again. We go in as soon as they opened, sit down and we order our sodas. When he comes over to take the lunch order, they were out of the forst 3 items we asked for ( we were figuring an appetizer and soup lunch), nay nay. We ended up getting lunch specials, mine was yellow curry which was quite tasty. His was chicken and he, pretty picky, liked it as well. Now, I do not knock restaurants for decor as all that matters is that it is clean and the food is great. But they really need to fix the gaping hole in the ceiling. It was water damage that fell out and took the surrounding drop ceiling with it. It was very disturbing as it looked like 3 more spots were ready to head down that same path.
But the food was good and our server was very attentive and friendly.
FYI, they only have canned soda not fountain for those that...
Read moreMy family and I were in the mood to try something different. My coworkers mentioned Mango Thai Cuisine in Twinsburg... so I decided to gave it a try tonight. And to be honest... it exceeded my expectations! The host greeted us with a smile and she was very kind and pleasant. It was a truly comfortable environment for starters. We ordered the Orange Chicken, the Seafood Avenger, Shrimp Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon, and Spring Rolls... and it ALL TASTED AMAZING!!! It did not disappoint. Everything was seasoned really well with a familiar - yet distinctive taste. Very good food. My daughter, who is a picky eater, really loved the orange chicken too. I'll be back!!! I highly recommend this...
