Crystal was a friendly associate. Her big smile was the first thing you'd notice walking in the room. She engaged us right away. She took the time to find out what we were looking for, but when as I continued to point out that only one piece of furniture had fit our needs, she focused on everything except what I was telling her we wanted. I felt like saying "sell me what I want!" She did remain professional even as I threw her some curveballs. She did seem to arrange the custom piece we wanted in such a way to bring the price as low as possible, which was a little disappointing, because although we did not dress nice to come in, we were not concerned with price over quality and getting exactly what we wanted. Lastly, I told Crystal we were on the fence and asked her if there was anything she had to say that would get us off the fence, giving her the opportunity to sell me. She said "that's not me, I don't want to be that kind of salesperson." I gave her another chance to say something better and she was more personable and at least attempted to act like she wanted me to buy and she made me laugh. Other than needing some work around the edges, Crystal was helpful. The back end guy was far less impressive and kept talking everytime he gave me something to sign. I finally said "hey, let me read this." He did, but then went right back to it and I said more sternly, "hey, listen, let me read this, ok." All in all a satisfactory visit, and even though we came in ready to go two other places before buying, we went ahead based on the quality and Crystal's efforts. Thank you for the...
Read moreWe purchased a leather recliner at Havertys in October 2019, along with a warranty. They don’t actually service their warranties, but it is through a different company. That company has already sent a technician out twice to fix our problem. The recliner function does not work, so we were told after the second visit that we would get a new chair. A few weeks after that, we received a notice that instead of getting a new chair, they are replacing the reclining mechanism. And after that part is installed, the warranty will be void. So now this company will make a third visit that will nullify the warranty that we purchased from Havertys. Not only am I super angry with the warranty company, but I have zero faith that this chair that has already been fixed will operate. Right now, it is just a broken leather chair in our living room, soon to be without a warranty. Most of all, I am completely dissatisfied with Havertys furniture. I really expected better quality from them. And last time we were there a couple of months ago, they are still selling our model there. So if you go in there, just be aware that they are selling lemons.
Update 11-6-21: Just wanted to update the review. Haverty’s has really come through for us. The issue has been resolved with them standing by their product. They have gone above and beyond to make sure that we are happy with our purchase. They have been very nice and I would have no qualms about buying...
Read moreHarvey Grimsley was very courteous, helpful, and went out of his way to find the right piece of furniture for our home. We had returned to purchase an ottoman for the chairs previously purchased. Harvey spent time with us to ensure that we found an ottoman that would be more of a square than rectangle and also not as high. Although we could not get the same fabric and color of our chairs, which we also purchased at Haverty’s, Harvey was able to find a fabric and color close to the color of our chairs. Likewise, the fabric had a square pattern which fits the theme of our home based on the work of Frank Lloyd Wright. We will definitely be coming back to Haverty’s in the future for some decorative items we had seen on our visit. At both of our visits, Harvey was extremely considerate regarding my husband’s need for a wheelchair while visiting your store. Both of us liked him a whole lot and look forward to asking for him when we have other needs. It will be our pleasure to recommend him to our friends as they search for objects in their homes. Hats off to all of you!
Sincerely,
Jack Busby &...
